Let’s spend a month talking about WRs when our defense hasn’t made a stop in 8 years.

to many picks that are nobodys and the few somebodys cant stay healthy long enough to do anything

OK I am finally down with firing everyone in the McBeane era. This team is filled with nothing but role players. Drafts suck. Coaching sucks. Josh relegated to game manager because they continually ignore the receiver position.

Again I am always the optimist, but realistically we are not a playoff team.

The AFC East is ours by default, at least that's what I've read around here lol.

Drake London is really good but he doesn’t put up big stat lines. He’s Hines Ward-esque in terms of production. Putting up 147 in a half like he’s Justin Jefferson is insanity, he’s gonna hit career highs

They made two this game but apparently also committed penalties on the first play of game and interfered with a WR. Yet you know no replay to back it up.

Might be crazy, but I think we are winning this. Just watch and Bill-ieve!

It could happen. Penix is not some world beater, and the score isn’t that bad for how much of a beat down it has been.

We do have a chance.

Normally I might think this way, but injuries and a 5 year plateau have zapped my spirits

@GunnerBill - can't reply in the original thread so doing it here. It's the knee hitting the ball. He grabs it, starts pulling it up, hits the knee and starts moving, then hits the turf. If not for the ball being moved, i'd agree. But a moving ball doesn't denote control.

Without Benford is this the worst secondary in the league?

I will say— I can’t believe we can’t get any calls. Tre gets a ticky tack PI,

but Terrell gets away with far worse.

The refs do seem to hate them.  It’s amazing bc McD employs a ref on the staff and he’s on the competition committee - he gets ZERO help.

This team is totally reliant on game script and our QB being the goat

Not prepared, poorly built, cap problems with no play makers, extensions to slow injury prone corners, small injury prone lbs, and ends who don't pass rush well are out biggest extensions.  55mm per year on benford Groot and Bernard, not a impact player on the lot

@HappyDays your comment on this being on the McBeane unit...

I disagree.  McD is involved.  But this is Beane and his scouting staff.  Pro scouts and College scouts.  They're feeding info to the leadership team for critical decisions.

McD and his staff have nothing to do with scouting.

Our biggest issue is a widening talent gap.  We made investments on defense that appear horrible right now.

McD is certainly part of the decision making process, but hes not making unilateral decisions with Beane.  Alot of this is fed from scouting issues at both levels.
