Happy birthday Jimmy G

Guess he will have a lot of time to celebrate now that he won't need to prepare to play in the game. Cocaine, strip clubs and escorts here we come! He definitely is in the right city for it! 😂

I'm trying to figure out why I should care.  There must be on average 4 or 5 birthdays a day of NFL players on active rosters.  Every one of them has some story to tell.  Some may be more interesting than others.  Jimmy G's is far from the most interesting.

Jimmy G is terrible.  No one wants to celebrate his b day.  The Raiders should trade him for Russell Wilson😂😂

It's just funny that the team that just benched him for the season still bothered to congratulate him on his birthday. It's like getting a birthday text from a company that just fired you.

I bet if they put candles on his cake, he runs out of the house, hides in the bushes and calls the fire department.

Jimmy Garoppolo has $11.25M fully-guaranteed for next season. He has another $11.25M that becomes fully-guaranteed if he can't pass a physical by March 17th.

Paging Jeff Gillooly; Jeff Gillooly, please pick up a silver and black courtesy phone.........

Let me help you out here... the Raiders wished him a Happy Birthday on social media one day after benching him.

For most people that irony is humorous.

If the money is guaranteed, how does benching him get them out of it?

It's an injury guarantee.

They owe him $11M guaranteed next year. If he were to get injured seriously this year, it would double to about $23M guaranteed next year.

We've all seen their OLine.

Benching him ensures he wont get injured and they are only on the hook for $11M.

It's terribly structured and far too convoluted. Raiders have no idea what they are doing.

Well 22 mil for a middle of the road starting QB is honestly not terrible. Tannehill makes 30 for example, Goff makes 33. The problem is Jimmy G isnt a starting QB on anybody but the 49ers right now. He's washed up. If they were planning on starting a vet, they should have just kept Carr

Yeah I think the issue is being stuck paying even $11M to a guy who likely wont even be on the team next year, let alone $22.5M. If he was starting and serviceable, it wouldnt be so bad. But Raiders will be paying tens of millions of dollars next year to a bunch of guys who dont even show up to work at those offices anymore. Yikes.

Oh yeah it’s bad management. And if the rumors are true Davis wants to bring in Harbaugh….
