When did standing for the entire game become a thing?

We used to stand for at least ¾  of the time during the Super Bowl years.

I think those posters were expecting wider and cushioned seats, like some of the new stadiums have in the lower level.

Sofi and Vikings and Falcons for example:

The upper level (cheap) seats in these other stadiums have the same seats as we are installing in our lower level (expensive) seats in our new stadium.

Would you rather have paid more for better? How about everyone else in your section?

Season ticket holders needs to complain and ask why the seats are crap.

We don't have to, the non-season ticket holders whine enough for us. Besides, we have already sat in these seats at the stadium experience before putting any money down.

I must admit if I was paying the insane $ they want for PSL/ season tickets…I’d be quite annoyed seeing the apparent quality of those seats

the PSLs aren't really that bad, in comparison to other teams...seat quality is about the same too.

Just something for people to complain about.

My butt is in the seat at pregame and halftime only anyhow.

@Einstein yes, why don’t we compare seating in a domed stadium vs. an outdoor one…is that your argument?  Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think anybody puts cushioned seats in an outdoor venue unless they are protected from the elements.  The seats installed in that video are exposed seats.

I’m sure the covered, premium seating will be a bit different in the new building.

To be fair to Einstein, he was saying that some people in the thread are expecting something that. Not that he is expecting it.

Seats that are in that area of the stadium, given that it’s going to be exposed to the brutal winters, are not going to be deluxe & plush. That’s what you go with when you don’t have a dome of any kind. Folks wanting something cushy for their tushy are going to have to bring their own seat cushions.

I don't care about cushions. Where's the beer holders? I thought they said every seat would have one.

I'm tired of losing $18 beers because people don't know how to walk

Yeah, you think they would install them next year because they’ll be exposed to harsh elements this coming winter.

Do you think it’s possible they’re far ahead of schedule?

It’s not weather that the contractor would be concerned about. The seats are designed to be outside in the elements for many years. It’s breakage from construction activity. And it’s just that sort of breakage that gets into protracted finger pointing between the various subcontractors on the project. As regards the overall schedule, it’s most likely not an indication of anything more than that the seats were ready, and delivered, so the General Contractor elected to take the risk of having them installed ‘early’.

I wonder if these are just a few to test the fit, and no more will be installed until next spring, to avoid breakage and contractors using them during breaks.

How does a guy with the funds to buy 6 PSLs, season tickets, parking, etc, wear a faded, vintage replica Rob Johnson jersey with a hole in it, knowing it’s a media event that’s going to be posted?

Part of the video you can see through the PPE he's wearing that it says "Young" on the back, his name.
