Gotcha thanks. My timing comment was that this was in a thread about his elbow bruise which occurred in the pocket and happens all the time randomly to QB's, and not from additional wear and tear taking off running.

Yes.........injuries like that.    The Jets have been decimated too.   And it's the defensive side of the ball where the Bills have so heavily invested in depth.   The backups at CB, edge and WLB are 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks.     Why Tre White isn't back is a f*cking mystery but at 11 months post-op next week...... it's time to stop saying he is injured.   He's not.

I'm a little worried too, obviously, but based off Allen's last throw, what he said in his PC, the fact that he wasn't sitting in the PC with a cast on his arm or ice on his elbow, and now Rap's report, I'll be surprised if he doesn't play on Sunday.

 

Can't imagine it's a serious sprain just based on the throw and his attitude (and naked arm) after the game at the PC.

 

If he sits, he sits.  But I think we averted disaster and people need to relax a bit.  

 

Josh will take this game as (what Von calls) good medicine and have an epic comeback game against the Vikings.  

 

The injury was frightening, but I think people are being a little doom and gloom despite the events after the injury.

Give me another recent example of this working.    Jimmy G?  Trey Lance?  Jared Goff?  Matthew Stafford is playing some of the worst football of his career in year 2 in McVay's similar system.    Nowhere in the Mike/Kyle Shanahan history has their offense ever been known to not get QB's hit.  

 

The first and easiest fix was address the WR position aggressively in either of the past 2 offseasons.    Didn't happen.

If it’s Tommy John his career is most likely over and he played last game as a bill.

I want to believe you, and probably tend to believe this won’t be worst case but am also of the opinion I’d be surprised if he plays Sunday. 
 

That said, the reason speculation is all over the place is because the Bills have been very weird with injuries this year.  
 

I get it, somewhat .. the cautious nature of the staff given the goals and depth on this team.  
 

But everything seems to linger and we all experienced the wild randomness of Micah Hyde’s season ender, it makes sense that people are on edge .. especially with the guy our entire franchise rides on.

I think the reason speculation is all over the place and people are freaking out is because it took decades to replace Jim Kelly (even better) and the thought of something even LEANING in the direction of career over is enough to bring a grown man to cry. 

 

Obviously not knowing a single thing, if you told me he is out 4 weeks and would be back 100%, I would take that in a heartbeat. For some reason, my gut tells me this season is over.

Ulnar nerve isn't anything to mess around with.  I had Ulnar nerve entrapment and it basically makes it feel like the backside of your arm is asleep, including your pinky and ring fingers.  You get the numbness and pins and needles thing going on. Would definitely impact your ability to grip and throw of a football like normal.
