Lotta fans take too much of an extreme view of the cap - either we can sign whomever we want or we can only dumpster dive.  Neither is true.  The Bills are at the point where they have to make decisions that involve real trade offs.  It’s the point where you see what kind of GM and organization you really have.

This is what a lot of folks have been saying for some time now.

It's not about building a roster to compete for the division and playoffs anymore, it's about fine tuning and making several crucial moves to position yourself for a championship(s) in the next several years even if it means having to kick the can down the road and eventually pay the piper so to speak.

We've learned who Josh Allen the last few years and we will learn definitively who Beane and McDermott are in 2022.

Knox got the 20th most targets of a TE1 in the league.

Sweeney got the 29th most targets of a TE2 in the league.

If they want to change that... they need more than Knox (Engram or no Engram)

Engram sucks, bad hands and can’t block either. That price is ridiculous too, let someone else pay it. Give me Gronk or Dissly who can actually block.

The Bills like him. He's a weapon but like you said I'de rather have Gronk for the blocking. Engram to me is basically a slot WR with drop issues.

He's a physically gifted athlete with some upside potential but I don't know.

That’s a pretty poor take on Barkley if you ask me.  And I suspect 31 other GMs agree with me on that.

"Honestly, I'm not sure anyone makes a trade for Saquon," one source said. "You talk about ability, durability, and talent, and unfortunately for Saquon, this is just a guy who can't stay healthy."

The insider acknowledged Barkley is a "good kid" but "I don't think I'd give up $7.2 million (in salary), plus a draft pick."

It’s one year left in his deal, he’s the perfect change of scenery player as he comes off the books if it doesn’t work out.
