These losses are TOUGH. But we have one of the best the league has ever seen in Allen.

Keep believing, Bills fans.

Basketball is not comparable to football. Superbowl windows are short. We blew a big chance at one this year

agree I think Josh has surpassed Patrick. If the rest of the team can just move up one notch - we can break through. I think all is needed for someone on our d line to step up and get more pressure and sacks.

Super Bowl windows are short?  If you have an elite QB, you’re always contenders.

Its almost like you’re saying we only have a few more good years of 25 year old Allen lol.

The big difference was the Bulls were young and up and coming, the Pistons were getting older and holding on for one more ride. The chiefs aren’t old and breaking down. They’ll be there the whole time the Bills window is

We just have to figure out how to beat them next year.

I think getting homefield will be a start.

We only have a few more years with a running Josh Allen. When he hits 28+ no chance he’s running like this.

need to go all in next year

When Allens big bucks kicks in yes the window shortens. We will always be in the playoffs but will always be hard to have that complete team. Basketball has 5 players on the court.

They have the tools for sure.

I honestly think we’re short 1 or 2. KC and LA are truly loaded. We need to grossly overdue it, we don’t have enough game breaking talent on offense - Gabe Davis super emergence included.

Great thread, I wanted to say the same thing.

Shoot the Milwaukee Bucks just recently had a 2 time MVP superstar, and 4-5 playoff bounces early with a top league record.

Took them some painful losses to learn how to make a run in the post season. 2021 champs.

Mahomes had to lose to Brady just like JA did just now.

Yeah your right.  He can’t throw so once his legs go, he just won’t be good anymore.

A huge dimension of his current game will decrease as his career goes on. He’s in the prime of that now. Need to pounce on the chance before it’s too late.

So Mahomes with the largest contract in the NFL, Chiefs Super Bowl window should be about closed.  Bengals might have 3 years left then.  Why do teams pay QB’s a lot when they should just pay mid level QB’s for mid level play…it clearly works.

they have to get back to this stage next year..

Let's not sugarcoat it... They let a great opportunity for a championship slip through their fingers tonight

Yep.  That's why this is hard.  We had the Bengals at home next week - no disrespect to them, but we likely get to the SB if we could have just held on tonight.

They had Phil Jackson. We have choke artist McDermott. Big difference.

McDermott was garbage in Philly and is garbage in Buffalo.

It wasn’t a short window  for Brady.

And Allen is hands down the best QB in the league. He simply does that things routinely that no other QB can. Mahomes is very close in that regard so it will at least be a challenge to get to the super bowl consistently. But AFC championship game damn near every year with Allen should be expected for the next 10 years.

Oh, and Allen is only getting better too. He’s not close to his prime as a passer. He’ll hit that in another 3-4 years or so.

The Bulls fired their coach after their first two playoff series losses to the Pistons and didn’t start winning championships until Phil Jackson became their head coach. So possibly history would repeat itself if another coach took us over the hump for this comparison.

They needed OT this year, at least.

The teams are neck & neck.  It came down to a coin toss.

O-line finally jelled late. Defense failed. Tough to play defense when you're saddled with a garbage LB like Edmunds. No instincts ... He's always a yard away from the play and just standing here
