Yeah being the punt/kick returner doesn't preclude him from participating in the offense.

True. But it does make it a little more difficult when deciding who's active and inactive on gameday. No sense in activating Stevenson if McKenzie is handling kick returns. I was actually surprised to see them both active yesterday. I expect that to change moving forward when all the Covids come back.

I’d rather have him back there as scary as that seems.  One last chance.

Until he fumbles again. He literally tripped over himself,  fell to the ground and then fumbled all without anyone laying a finger on him. He muffed a punt earlier this season. He had 4 fumbles his rookie year. If you want to give him a few chances in the gadget part of our offense fine. But give Stevenson a chance and if he fails cut em both.

No.

My line of thinking is that Stevenson should be adaquit in a league that has made the return game a moot point 90% of the time. McKenzie could be better utilized with some snaps on offense and helping the offense move the ball.

In a tight game when we may need that big return possibility I am not opposed to subbing him in for a possible big play. But I'd really limit his ST snaps to keep him fresh for offense.

Adaquit sounds like a failed rapper from 2003 and I'm here for it.

He was benched because he puts the ball on the ground way too much as a returner… it why he was cut in Denver. The fumble TD against the Colts was laughably horrible. Don’t blame McD at all for benching him. Special teams turnovers are inexcusable.

In TV terms, it kinda felt like a cross between The Three Stooges and I Love Lucy. Wait! You did WHAT???

Yeah.…..or until he wins the game only to have a bum hold someone that wouldn’t have tackled him.

I’m a big fan of his skill set.  I love what he brings to the team and I think that leaving him out of the offensive gameplan has hurt our offense.

It’s a risk i’d be willing to take. I get why others wouldn’t want him back there.  I just think he a great returner and can help us win games back there.  He’s electric.

Personally, I think it's crazy that McKittrick was ever benched in the first place.  He was a Top 3 Returner in the league and had ONE FUMBLE.

Stevenson hasn't shown me much at all.  I am a solid YES on this one.

Interested to see the results of this poll.

Go Beels!

Can someone explain the whole McKittrick thing?

And yes I’ll all for McKenzie getting more time on kickoffs and in the offense.  I feels he’s underutilized

I'm rolling with Stevenson. There's some ability there, he needs reps and hopefully his feel can get a little better with experience, then you've got something. McKenzie simply always makes me nervous and I don't want that in a returner.

Im wondering why the Bills can’t get Stevenson on the field for a gadget play like a reverse or shovel pass etc.  Get Dion back and run off left tackle with Gabe Davis blocking the outside CB

To be fair it was a down pouring rain as I recall.

A coach should never bench his players for making mistakes. Then they lose confidence and it affects their performance.

That's like benching a RB for a fumble.

If Stevenson is putting up good numbers keep him.

But if you need a spark in the return game, McKenzie may be worth another look.

I think its just that someone once accidentally called him McKittrick and it stuck.

If there's more to it, somebody else will have to fill in the blanks.

So, he was benched because he fumbled once and...what...3 years ago in Denver for the Broncos?

Also, we signed him off the practice squad.

Players usually have to be cut before going to the practice squad.
