Couple things: - Autism matters when dealing with people. In a highly confrontational situation where people are in her face like they were on the video it’s a big deal. They should not have treated anyone like that, but particularly not someone they knew had a disability like Autism. That’s gonna be a problem for them. - That place has a water park. There would be people waking around in swimsuits so it is highly doubtful that she was the skimpiest dressed person around. 3 1

Nowhere in the entire article did it mention that the mother had autism I think that was a typo or straight clickbait for sympathy . If it was true you think one of the opening lines would talk about how a woman with a disability was harassed Edited May 12, 2021 by Buffalo716

She told the “police” that she had autism while they were yelling at her. The guys had “police” on their backs but the local police office said they were not their officers so there is some question about whether they were actual officers.

Yes, it was in other articles as well, that reported she walked away from the rent-a-cop/s-with-delusions-of-grandeur toward her boyfriend for protection when they were berating her. Not uncommon for someone who is autistic. (I say this as someone on the spectrum / Asperger’s-as-was, my ownself.) I’m guessing that the security officer didn’t like this as an affront to his authoritahhhh. Even so, the family complied without making a scene and left the park. As stated, in a park where people are wearing bathing suits / bikinis, how the hell does this rate as unacceptable? There’s nothing in the park rules that delineates dress code other than clothing with offensive graphics / words. Are we going back to the days of using a ruler to measure above the knees? Make ‘em wear burqas? What year is this? Apparently the park doubled-down and their stance is going to be not to apologize or do anything. That’s their first reaction as this plays out, to either try to avoid a lawsuit or stick to their guns using that defense. 😒😠 Edited May 13, 2021 by UConn James 1

But she's a grown woman with a child, she lives an adult life Even though the security were still in the wrong Edited May 13, 2021 by Buffalo716 1 1

Royale with Cheese
Now, Six Flags has commented on the incident. A spokesperson for the park told The New York Post that Breedlove “was initially stopped because her shorts exposed a significant portion of her buttocks.” However, the spokesperson said the mom was escorted from the park because “of her behavior towards the police, our team members and other park guests.” Breedlove “was given multiple opportunities to change or cover up, but refused,” the spokesperson added. “Instead, she responded with profanity and offensive conduct, including further exposing her buttocks.” https://www.yahoo.com/news/six-flags-responds-mom-claim-134105828.html

Nextmanup
Looked good to me. For the record, super short shorts like this that reveal a portion of the wearer's butt cheeks are quite common practice where I live in Palm Beach County, FL. I have often noted and laughed at the 14 year old girls doing this, while walking next to their mother through the shopping mall, etc. Young girls do it, teenagers, girls in their 20s or 30s... They all do it. Along with the switch to the thong bikini at the beach (now very commonplace), it's one of the best fashion trends I've noticed in years. UConn James
I’m just going to say that it’s kinda appalling to read that some on here think that because this gal had a kid/s, that means she is no longer allowed to be autistic and have social difficulty / anxiety. There is a long history of misunderstandings between police and autistics, bringing about additional training for police on interacting with those on the spectrum. On a FB page I follow, there was recently a printout designed to give to 👮🏻♂️ for a “blue bag” that includes license, registration, insurance during such interactions. Autism grows up. And as much as some people might want us to stay under a rock, we have every right to go places and do activities we enjoy and not be harassed for being who we are. Or for breaking dress codes that don’t even actually exist. 2
