It doesn’t mean that much to me, to mean that much to you.

If you don’t stand up, you don’t stand a chance.

Had a buddy in college who made his dorm room available for anything you wanted to write on his wall. He painted over it at the end of the year, but I had those two up there.

My favorite line from that song is:

And my time is a piece of wax

Falling on a termite.

Who's choking on the splinters.

"First to fall over when the atmosphere is less than perfect
Your sensibilities are shaken by the slightest defect
You live you life like a canary in a coalmine
You get so dizzy even walking in a straight line
You say you want to spend the winter in Firenza
You're so afraid to catch a dose of influenza
You live your life like a canary in a coalmine..."

~Canary in a Coalmine, The Police

"...Hide my face in my hands, shame wells in my throat
My comfortable existence is reduced
To a shallow, meaningless party
Seems that when some innocents die
All we can offer them is a page in a some magazine
Too many cam'ras and not enough food
Cause this is what we've seen
Driven to tears..."

Are lines and paragraphs now the same thing?   :)

I kid, all that’s good is good. I was just trying to stick to a single line.

I don't  know when to stop.  So I encompass the whole thought.  It's  probably  too much.

I guess... multiple  good lines  in one

stanza.

Not that there is anything wrong with either of these.

"Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,

The heart has it's beaches, it's homeland and thoughts of it's own,

Wake now discover that you are the song, that the morning brings,

The heart has it's seasons, it's evenings and songs of it's own."

What do you want from life?

Well, you can't have that, but
If you're an American citizen you are entitled to:
A heated kidney shaped pool
A microwave oven--don't watch the food cook
A Dyna-Gym--I'll personally demonstrate it in the privacy of your own home
A kingsize Titanic unsinkable Molly Brown waterbed with polybendum
A foolproof plan and an airtight alibi
Real simulated Indian jewelry!
A Gucci shoetree!
A year's supply of antibiotics
A personally autographed picture of Randy Mantooth
And Bob Dylan's new unlisted phone number
A beautifully restored 3rd Reich swizzle stick
Rosemary's baby!
A dream date in kneepads with Paul Williams
A new Matador
A new mastadon
A Maverick
A Mustang
A Montego
A Merc Montclair
A Mark IV
A meteor
A Mercedes
An MG
Or a Malibu?
A Mort Moriarty
A Maserati
A Mac truck
A Mazda
A new Monza
Or a moped
A Winnebago
Hell, a herd of Winnebago's, we're giving 'em away
Or how about a McCulloch chainsaw?
A Las Vegas wedding
A Mexican divorce
A solid gold Kama Sutra coffee pot
Or
A baby's arm holding an apple?

There's a picture opposite me

Of my primitive ancestry

Which stood on rocky shores and kept the beaches shipwreck free

Though I respect that a lot

I'd be fired if that were my job

After killing Jason off and countless screaming Argonauts
