Classy Pats* fans force relocation of Mahomes girlfriend

Ralph Wilson Stadium has gotten exponentially better over the past 10 years.  I see opposing fans welcomed much more than anything over the line.  Ribbing is normally good-natured.  You do have the occasional lunatic, but the increased Erie County Sheriff presence in the stadium often snuffs things out quick.

It used to be really bad/embarrassing

You want the standard $25 "You're an idiot" package, or the deluxe $50 "You're a ***** idiot" package?

(The deluxe package is 30% off for the holidays, BTW.)

my brother went to one game and nobody got in a fight, so therefore there is never anything to fear at an NFL game

Not sure if any here listens to Pardon my Take, but in their recap for the Bills/Ravens game PFT says, and i am paraphrasing

" saw a lot of Ravens fans there, and we are starting to see that more and more as people make the trek to the mecca of tailgating and partying that is Orchard Park. Saw a lot of handshakes, and Bills fans may even be getting to nice to opposing fans.

There has no doubt been a change the last 5 to 7 years, #Billsmafia has been embraced as a symbol charity, family, loyalty, and yep some good old fashioned drunken fun at a huge party every game..come and join us no matter what colors you are wearing.

BTW, it is the 12/9 podcast, Fastest Two minutes, Jamius Winston Mona Lisa.

Discussion Starts about the 16 minute mark . For those who have never listened to PMT, can be profane and certainly in this segment there are sexual references that all may not be comfortable with as a heads up. I find them funny as all get out

Yeah!!  Lock up the guys who say mean things!!  You sound like a huge Sally here Augie.  If you can’t give and take verbal jabs regarding whose colors you’re wearing regardless of the stadium you are at, then you need to get some skin thicker than tissue paper my man.

Got it, we’ll put you down as PRO-Nasty Drunks. I’ve seen it get physical on countless occasions at various stadiums. Throwing beer on people, starting fights, etc. It was never the sober people. THAT is a problem.

As you well know, it’s not the alcohol I object to (by any means). I just hate those very rare occasions where the ugly side comes out of people. Have a good time and remember why you are there. Try not to drop out of the upper deck onto innocent fans. Little things like that. ?

Only been to cames in Carolina and Miami. The Panthers fans weren't too bad but they weren't great either. Miami fans were surprisingly hospitable.

In Green Bay I kept hearing “welcome to Wisconsin!”, with that funny little accent. Think Fargo. It was awesome!

I haven't been to many games in other cities, but if I had to guess I would think bills fans are amongst the worst as far as treatment of opposing fans. Don't think we should be calling out others as being classless.

Every fanbase has them

There have been multiple times when I feared for the life of fans from opposing teams.  If the Bills are winning things are usually ok.  If things are not going well the other team's fans can go through hell.  The biggest mistake I ever made was upgrading my seats.  With my original season tickets I was surrounded by nice people who were a pleasure to watch the game with.  The opposite was the case when I moved.

Philly and Giants fans attacked unprovoking and defenceless fans at their home stadiums.

Dumb statement. I have nosebleeds at the Ralph, as well as lower bowl on 35. Like em both for different reasons , nice people in both sections every game.

Agreed

Man, NU I just had to hold back slugging them out of respect for you. What a bunch of jerks?

as you know, I had a Philly fan with me all geared out as well, before we made trip he was all “‘I won’t wear my gear” and I told him, emphatically, wear whatvya want, don’t be ass when Philly scores and get in Bills fan faces with the “ you guys suck” stuff, just celebrate your team scores, and all good.

He was amazed thats exactly how it was.

BTW, I have several Pats fans friends that come to most Pats game here, in full gear, never have an issue and love coming to games in Buffalo

This may be the dumbest thing I have ever seen written on this board in 16 years. I mean @DC Tom needs to be called on as he has special dispensation to address this comment.

I go to ay least 4 Bills home games, and 2 away games every year. Amazing how I have never been in a fight, have not seen a fight in Buffalo in like 5 years( last one was world junior outdoor game) , always have a great time on the road and never hassled, even in Philly.

I guess you get treated in the manner you act. I am there to have fun, have some beers ,  root for my team. Never had an issue and I am 57!

I’ve sat in the nosebleeds in Buffalo a few times,

and I’m just not into being around the younger crowd that inhabits the area. It’s naive to think that every fan doesn’t have different experiences. Just because you’ve have great experiences in the nosebleeds, doesn’t mean that others have. There’s also a difference between the upper and lower rows of the 300 section. The lower rows are great seats with many season ticket holders. The upper rows are generally a bunch of younger drunks who bought cheap tickets.

Didn't say every fan has the same experience, but to broad brush a section of people cause they are "young" or cant afford more expensive seats is just not correct in my mind. Both sections have their share of knuckleheads. Maybe I more tolerant than the average old dude, i don't know..but i certainly do not take the actions of one drunk obnoxious fan and extend it to a whole group. Its one dude, text fan assistance, they be gone.

Go to a Jets game and then comeback and comment. I'll be here waiting

Went to Bills at Jets when we destroyed them. Geno had like three picks in the first quarter and was benched for Vick.

We went with 5 people and were loud the second we pulled into the lot. Had the trunk open playing the Bills shout song for 2 hours with volume all the way up. Bunch of jets fans came over with beer congratulating us on taking over their lot.

When we got to our seats we cheered loudly for the Bills singing the shout song any chance we got. The guys behind us were joking around with us and most of the fans were impressed that we had the balls to come in and cheer for the Bills like that. Anytime we went to concessions or bathroom we asked security if we were out of line and they all said we were fine, cheer away it’s a football game.

Around the 3rd quarter other bills fans were coming to sit with us because they heard about us from the other side of stadium. But so did Jet fans that weren’t to happy. A group of jet fans moved a couple rows ahead of us and started throwing ketchup and mustard at my cousin and uncle. They rotated security and a real nasty young lady guard was now telling us that we’re not allowed to cheer anymore. I said the other guards don’t have an issue and neither did the people around us until people moved and sat in seats they didn’t have a ticket for. She said something nasty back so I asked if I could speak to supervisor.

As were walking down stairs the fans that moved are chanting A-hole A-hole. So we get to supervisor and he says were being thrown out. I said I asked to speak to you and we’ve been asking security if were out of line and they all said no. We haven’t done anything but cheer for the Bills, no trash talk, no swearing, no fights. The only issue was people moving to the section and throwing stuff at us. Talk to them. They didn’t want to hear it and called for police to escort us out. While we’re waiting word got back to our section that we were getting thrown out and a bunch of Jets fans came down to our defense. After seeing all the people defending us they let us go back to our seats.

The cheers and boos when my brother and I walked out of the aisle to our seats was amazing. Probably my best experience at an away game besides the people throwing stuff. We absolutely dominated the Jets that day on the field and in the stands.  I was very surprised how nice the majority of their fans were. Complete opposite from dealing with them at New Era

Decades of empty stadiums following the declaration of Rosie Ruiz that "Boston doesn't care how you win". Nice job Boston!

she sounds totally awesome.   Pretty cool they were high school sweethearts.

And this yet again proves how terrible Pats*** fans are.

When KC comes here for the AFC Championship Game next year lets try to be better hosts to the visiting fans (but not the other team!)

yeah, there were a decent amount of Ravens fans in the parking lot where I was.  They were there for the party and the game.  Everyone got along.  You can get along in the parking lot, stands, yet cheer for your own team.  I don't think we have too many opponents fans in our stands.  IF we do, then we need to buy more tickets!

Fair enough, you make great points. Money certainly doesn’t buy class, and being able to afford good seats as opposed to those who can’t doesn’t say anything about a persons behavior. I’m not on the older side at all, but I’ve just noticed I’m always surrounded by college age fans in the nosebleeds, and for whatever reason they are generally a crowd that gets on my nerves. I’ve seen stupid drunken behavior everywhere, and great fans as well. So I definitely agree with that.

Worst I have ever seen was in KC.... went to a Chiefs/Raiders game with my uncle back in the late 90’s.... Chiefs fans actually torched? a Raiders fan’s car in the parking lot. ?. Freaking insane.

I went to the last 2 bills games in KC and i found the fans there a great time! Tailgating was set up a lot like Buffalo. We heard a little banter here and there but we won both games so i guess it shut them up. I loved watching a game there

Oh, I had a blast. Great tailgating, food etc. Arrowhead and Lambeau are probably the two closest tailgating experiences to Rich/NEra that I’ve had. Nothing but respect from Chiefs fans... They’re opinion on silver and black though was very different. ?. Rivalries have gotten very “civilized” over the last 20 years.
