I'm going to enjoy the hell out of them, win, or lose... I don't think 1-4, or 2-3 over the next 5 games is "unrealistic", I think those finishes are very realistic and the most likely based on what we have seen so far this season. Expecting anything more than 2 wins down the stretch is getting into the hope category. It's also likely they don't just win the two "obvious" game" against the Steelers and Jets, because the NFL does not usually work that way. They likely beat one of the "good" teams, and lose to one of the lesser teams.

I do know crossing my fingers is irrelevant to the game but it is a week to week season and well, anything can happen. confidence in your team losing, interesting. JaCrispy
I’m around a 6 for being concerned...because a big thing that separates the good teams from the pretenders is scoring before the ends of regulation in the two minute drill...after seeing that embarrassing display right before the half on Sunday I’m worried that, between McD’s lack of clock management and JA’s lack of awareness (calling the last TO after spiking the ball), it will not be enough to compete with the big boys...because that’s when games are won and lost against the good teams. hopefully they can figure it out in 3 days... Ok its funny you list the 6-5 Cowboys who haven't beaten a single team with a winning record. I'll have to look again but I don't think they have even beaten a .500 team. Talent doesn't always mean everything. There are a lot of teams over the years that have had a lot of talent but did nothing with it. Coaching matters. Having talent in the right positions matters. Having a locker room like ours along with talent instead of a bunch of ego heads just looking to get paid matters. Guess what... this team has talent too. It may not be the flashy talent that puts up singular stats but it is talent none the less. Brown is talented. Beasley is talented. Singletary is talented. Gore may be over the hill but is still talented. Josh is talented he just needs to continue learning. Our Oline is becoming one of the better lines in the league. Our D has a ton of talent. Yeah we don't have a lot of singular flashy names but our TEAM as a whole is getting more talented by the week. Id rather have a bunch of talented players then a couple superstars.

Talent is increased by adding more talented players via roster moves and drafting, something that doesn't happen at this point in the season unless you strike gold with a practice squad player. What I mean is that the players are getting better the more they play. Its not like you draft or pick up players and they are already at their ceiling. Talent level of an individual isn't something you can really put a measure on.

Teams don't get better (more talented) after playing more games together.
mjd1001
I'm not sure what we are talking about being concerned about... Am I concerned with the Bills finishing the season with a winning record? No Am I concerned that they might only win 1 or 2 of the rest of their games this year? Sure am. Yes, you can only play who is on your schedule. But I'd like to see the Bills win 3 of the next 5 for me to feel they have a good chance to move on in the playoffs. Rc2catch
I’m concerned the offense can put up 200 total yards and the game still seems to stay close and I’m concerned they can put up 400 yards and keep it close sometimes. But I am dang excited at a shot at the playoffs and being possibly the most dangerous team since nobody can predict what offense or defense shows up. Most teams offenses have kinda peaked at this point after a certain amount of years/games together and buffalo is still gelling. Just have to get into the playoffs and get hot at the right time. This team can beat anyone in the NFL but is just as likely to get man handled by a lot of teams too. Exciting final month of the season coming
billsfan89
My concern level is at a 5 down from a 6 or 7 the previous 2 weeks. Right now the Bills have to win 2 out of the next 5 to get to 10 wins. Which should be easy enough, however they don't have an easy game until the final week of the season when they host the Jets (who are suddenly on the rise.) Right now the Cowboys game while not necessarily a "must win" is really a big game to see where the Bills stand playing against a good team on the road. If the Bills can get to 9-3. they set themselves up really well to get to 10 wins only needing one out of the next 4. For now my concern is lowering with the team having gotten fat against the Broncos and Fins coming off that loss to the Browns. The Raiders and Colt losing also is a good thing, although the Steelers winning sets them up to possibly be 8-5 by the time they play the Bills. LSHMEAB
6. They're gonna have to win a game they "shouldn't" win or that Pittsburgh game is everything. And I don't think that's gonna be as easy as we'd like to believe. I don't believe they'll lose to the Jets at home, so that's good. I may be in the minority, but I think they've got the best chance to beat Baltimore out of the three really tough ones(Dal,Balt,NE). I'd be pleasantly surprised if they beat NE or Dallas on the road. I wouldn't be all that surprised to see them beat Baltimore. A win against any of these 3 would be yuge.

By advancing the football into the endzone or placing the ball between the uprights. In all seriousness, I get your point. Theoretically, they should be able to shut down their run game and either Rudolph or that Ducky dude. Just don't feel overly confident about that game for some odd reason. It's the kind of game they'd lose in the past. I'm thinking about at Oakland in 2014 or whatever year that was. This new regime certainly appears to be different, and I trust McDermott to have them prepared. Still, I've got bad memories. I gotta see it to believe it. Yes, we made the playoffs in 2017 and all credit to McD. BUT, that 10th win has been incredibly elusive for a LONG time.

Some people seem to think that anyone who expresses just an ounce of concern is a Chicken Little. I've heard that same nonsense for so many years now, and it gets old. Yeah, being a Bills fan IS TOUGH... It's HEARTBREAKING... it's ANXIETY because WE GIVE A DAMN ABOUT OUR TEAM, unlike places like Cleveland or Miami. My take- Dallas is the key to making the playoffs, regardless of NFC affiliation. Out of the five games, Dallas is the one I think we have the best chance at winning, albeit the way they lost in Foxboro could make it more difficult. Historically we don't do well against the Steelers or Ravens. So long as the Steelers have that defense, we're going to be in a huge dogfight. The Ravens are the most complete team in the AFC. The Cheatriots in Foxboro is an annual nightmare that knifes us in new ways like we're the pinata. To close, the Jets have gained momentum and are playing better and better- division rivalries are always dangerous. So, I'm going to rate my concern at a chain smoking sailor in the Strait of Hormuz at an 8. All tough games, almost all AFC. It's honest. This is so indicative of this board:if you’re not concerned, you don’t understand the past!!!!! Reality? (Side note: sometimes it’s a b*tch slap).
