Winning that game is the mark of a good football team - finding a way to win. But if you think Darnold was the reason they had a 16-0 lead, then I think you and I were watching a different game. He did basically nothing with FOUR fluke turnovers. Edited October 14, 2019 by CLTbills

fergie's ire
I still believe that it is a special D....but honestly, seeing what Denver did to Tennessee and even what the Giants did to Brady for most of the game has me a bit nervous. Good/One of the best this year, yes Special? I don't know if I would call it special, They aren't really doing anything that other teams havent done already in the past

Rocket94
The Cowboys showed up unprepared, and probably underestimated the Jets. Gase out coached Garrett! I love it!.
Saint Doug
1 hour ago, GunnerBill said: Look I am not doctor - but the report I have seen said the diagnoses was that the infection was already in his body. Fair enough, but I am. I routinely detect EBV infections, but probably the vast majority never make it into my clinic. For most, EBV just causes a cold-like illness. Of course the infection was already in his body, but that doesn’t mean he had a diagnosis of mono at that time. I’m just saying that it’s immaterial he had the infection in his body as he was asymptomatic. And, it’s disingenuous to say this infection has any effect on his performance that Sunday even if he would later develop mono. Now, of course it could eventually come out that he did have symptoms at the time that he ignored (like most do) or it wasn’t reported to the NFL, but we just don’t have that information. Otherwise, I’m glad he’s healthy now and it would’ve been reckless of him to play last week. I’m glad he was held out. 1
Protocal69
Like I said before Sam Darnold did not have full mono when he played week 1. Darnold said himself he was 85% ok. If he had full mono at the time he would have ruptured his spleen during the game. He basically had a cold when he played us.
ComradeKayAdams
We don't have the best D in the league. Right now we have the 3rd best behind NE and SF. We need to see more turnovers and a better pass rush from Hughes, Oliver, Lawson, and Murphy before considering them for #1.
947
Darnold likely contracted Mono from a slut he met on the Friday or Saturday before we played them. It takes a few days before it shows up.

Only when the Bills started marching back does the stupid mono excuse factor in? Can't have it both ways. Either he is healthy enough to play with no excuses or the Jets hold him out. Case closed. Maybe he got mono in the 4th quarter

Buffalo Barbarian
Just wanted to say i love the Jets uniforms especially the color. BigDingus
The Patriots defense is better than ours, hate to say it. It's currently on pace to go down as the best defense of ALL TIME. I know our defense is great, but right now the Pats are playing at an insane level, and have had the luxury of weak opponents (so have we, but just saying). 41 minutes ago, 78thealltimegreat said: Yeh in Denver And we held the Pats to 16, in Buffalo. Sacks and turnover are nice but points scored against is what counts, also making them punt is a turnover. We're number two, SF needs more. https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/team-stats?season=2019&week=100&category=DEFENSE&page=

But then again the defense only surrendered 24 points. One TD was off a busted coverage. Dak seemed pretty lost in the face of pressure. Overall Dallas didn’t look as good as I thought they were. But the Jets D did play well

He's been injured a few times, but the kid is solid. If he can stay healthy he has all this intangibles you look for. I think he is a decent QB. For our part when we played the Jets I was more concerned with Bell tearing us up. The Jets are not a bad team talent-wise when everyone is healthy, just no depth.
