Additionally, this is why you have to strike while the iron is hot becuase you don't know what next year holds.

I actually could see a scenario where next year's Bills team is better than this years, but has a worse record and a more difficult rad to travel.  Let's say 13-3 (i'm just saying) as opposed to 11-5.

Miami and the Jets I believe will be better and some other teams will take steps forward.

The Patriots are the Patriots, but if we are clearing the deck now and seeing what we have I say we load up while we got our guys and get a WR or pass rush specialists and make the push this year.

One year's 13-3 Vikings could very well end up being the next years 8-7-1.

Can't see it.   Working for Snyder is no treat.

And if the Bills keep winning, there will be much more attractive openings...

This ^^^.  If our team is a success both our OC and DC can pretty much right their own tickets, but at this point not so much, imo.  That and who in their right mind wants to work for Snyder???  Now that’s a job that does not get the cream of the crop applying to work there.

He’s an offensive guy so it wouldn’t surprise me if his name is mentioned but I don’t think he’s done anything to warrant getting hired. I also didn’t think Zac Taylor or Matt LeFleur we’re going to be hired either and look what happened. It’s Snyder so who knows?

Snyder is the definition of a wildcard. If that guy decides he wants Daboll and no one else... brinks truck, begging.... full court press. I hope Daboll considers the dysfunction and perhaps has a chat with Pettine.

Both Daboll and Frazier are going to be talked about as HC spots start to open up.

I think it is a year too early for Daboll at this point. But Frazier I do expect to get interviews and serious consideration for teams

Fraziers HC tenure at Minn wasn't a success.  Somebody would need to want to try him again.  But, as we know here in Buffalo, Marv Levy was let go by the Chiefs, and did great things with the Bills later in his career, so who knows.

Of course he is, and probably a lot of other places. I'd like to see him in ATL if he has to leave.

I can't see it happening... at least not yet.

He hasn't been successful enough to stand out versus other coordinators out there.

But more importantly imo, he grew up a Bills fan, graduated from St Francis. I can't imagine him leaving his dream of coaching for the Bills prematurely to coach the Redskins of all teams. I guess theres always the lure of multi millions but i can't see that happening from Washingtons side, not for him.

When its unlikely from both sides perspective, you know you've been click baited

I realize there are only 32 HC jobs in the world and, in order to coach at this level at all, these guys have pretty hefty egos. However, anyone who thinks about taking that job without strongly considering the ownership and upper management disaster that team has been for so long is just being foolish.

Are you talking about Bills with Ralph and Levy/Brandon as GM? Or Washington?

Like you said there are 32 spots and there are only a few coaches that have enough clout and can turn down an opportunity for one of them.

Atlanta I think would be a good choice for him.

Coaches get recycled all the time in the NFL.  What would be asked from Frazier in interviews is how much of the defense inputs are his and not McDs and what has he learned on how to run a team that is different than before.

When the Bills make a deep run into the playoffs, or better yet play in the Super Bowl, thats when our coordinators will be candidates for HC positions.

Everyone will be linked to the Redskins coaching position until it is filled.  Internal candidates are being discussed, Mike Tomlin is supposedly on Snyder's radar, now Daboll.  Probably just take it all with a grain of salt because no one will want to go to Washington.

Why would Daboll -- or any competent coach -- want to work for Dan Snyder?  If this season goes the way it's going so far, I'm sure Daboll will probably get some interviews, but you've got to figure that the Redskins job is among the least attractive in the NFL.

If I’m not mistaken, the Skins can’t  talk to Daboll until after the season.

He hasn’t proven enough yet- and we have some work to finish. I suspect both coordinators are going to stand fast and see this thing through.

I sure hope you are right...

Uh huh.

They're currently 12th in offense and should be top 10 after the Fins game...

They are tied for 26th in points scored.  No one cares how many yards they accumulate.

Daboll won't be offered that job, of all people---although it would be a very Redskins move.

I often find myself being frustrated with Daboll. What’s his offense averaging? Can’t be more than 16 points per game this year. On many of his series I find myself frustrated with his play calling. This team is winning right now because of the defense, not Daboll’s play calling. Call me crazy, but I don’t view him as being a big loss at this point in time.

I do call you crazy. Daboll more often then not puts players in a position to succeed through a myriad of alignments, motion, and creative play-calling. Think of the toss/jet-sweep to McKenzie on the Bills game winning drive. The Bills middling PPG average is due to lack of execution and top-end talent to complement the defense. We'll see what happens before the trade deadline.

It’s not really Daboll’s fault, but rather the execution- usually JA missing on the deep ball, not seeing open receivers, receivers not catching the ball, or the line not blocking on a particular play...

allen would have to go off the rest of the season for him to be considered. but who really wants that job unless they fire the gm too?

Man i hope not given the fact that Josh has a good relationship with Dabol & that having the same scheme is paramount to a young QB's development !

If there is a change it could hold Josh back in some instances which could put him in a long line of Bills QB's that have taken a very different & winding road to the trash heap & i hope that's not what happens because it looks like the Bills may have a good chance of him developing into the guy they have been in search of since Kelly's retirement .

Not to mention Josh seems to fit the exact type to be a Bills player on & off the field !!

Isn't it also the identify of a good coach to see what works and put his players in position to make plays and not the other way around.

Yea which is why you don't see him doing the same thing all the time. The sweep with the TE was a first and got copied by SF. They have been using different things and I don't see much of what doesn't work in there. I see something's where it does work but Josh didn't do the right thing or the WR didn't catch it.

You don't take those out you keep working on it till it works.
