BringBackFergy
“...men with ED have a 59% higher risk of coronary heart disease or atherosclerosis, a 34% higher risk of stroke and a 33% higher risk of dying from any cause.” A 33% higher risk of dying from ANY CAUSE? So there’s 67% of men out there who won’t die?... ever?...from anything? This article is unsatisfying.

RochesterRob
Jokes aside sex is an excellent stress reliever and when you can not perform sexually you are a pressure cooker waiting to blow which can come in many forms. So I am not surprised and do not consider it s stunning revelation. The only thing I would add is that some men are most likely more prone to have a stroke than others so it is not a given that if ED is an issue for a man it is not automatic that he is on a path to a stroke. I do think that being active sexually leads to overall better emotional health stress aside. Edited September 12, 2019 by RochesterRob

One cause of ED is restricted blood flow, which also affects the heart and can be a warning sign of an impending stroke. In fact, Viagra was originally intended to be a blood thinner for heart patients. In clinical trials, patients reported a side-effect - spontaneous erections - and suddenly the blue pill had a different use.

OldTimeAFLGuy
...WHOA!!!......somebody spiked his gummy bears with purple pills??......... Man undergoes surgery to alleviate erection that lasted for 36 hours: 'They said my penis would die' By Madeline Farber | Fox News A 41-year-old United Kingdom man is getting very candid about an experience that nearly cost him his manhood. Elliott Rossiter, of Bristol, England, told South West News Service (SWNS), a British news agency, that he was visiting friends in France when he suddenly developed an erection. But he was not aroused at the time, he said. “We were all just sat around and it just came on. I tried to get rid of it but couldn’t,” he told SWNS of the “embarrassing” moment. “It wasn’t sexual in any way at all and I wasn’t feeling aroused.” After 19 hours with no relief, a friend took him to a local clinic. His penis was injected with anti-inflammatory and steroid medications, according to SWNS. But Rossiter remained rigid. https://www.foxnews.com/health/man-36-hour-erection-surgery
