Forward Progress
When you consider the trades of Teller and Bodine for picks and Shady getting signed by KC, we had 59 players on our team this offseason who are on NFL rosters today. 2
BITE ME
The Bills have depth. This is the best team they have put on the field since the 1990's. 2

Unfortunately not one of those guys can consistently punt the football over 30 yards. I’d say the punter is not an NFL starter.

HOUSE
Shareece Wright After starting five games in 2018 for the Houston Texans, Wright is one of the more appealing corners on the market. He recorded five pass breakups and 32 tackles in 2018. Wright started five games for the Bills in 2017 and would be a familiar face in the locker room and would be a good plug-and-play player to have if needed.

At the moment a bunch of average-solid/good players..... players like Edmunds, Tre White, and Josh Allen can change that. Yup. I think you can argue tre is there but Edmonds, Allen, Oliver, would be the keys. With Oliver, Hughes befitting with a top season is another. The potential is there though

BuffaloRebound
And the thing that sucks about the NFL is that if you don’t have a good QB, the other 52 players don’t matter all that much. Let’s cross our fingers on Allen.

PlayoffsPlease
To me, it all revolves around Josh Allen. I could be the president of his fan club. I think he is the real deal. But regarding the rest of the roster, I think people are over estimating the talent. The fact that the gap from John Brown and Cole Beasley and Zay Jones down to Ray Ray McCloud may not mean McCloud is a great asset for a team. It might mean that the Bills starting WR's are pretty mediocre by NFL standards. Same with the Oline. The confusion results in part from the Bills having an historically bad oline and receiver group last year. But the 2019 Bills won't be playing the 2018 Bills, so that doesn't really matter. When I line up the talent against the top teams in the AFC, it is not clear to me that we are that great. But maybe middling. I guess middling is a step in the right direction. But given the salary cap rules, I am not sure middling is a huge accomplishment.

Claiming a player requires a much bigger commitment than signing a player after they clear waivers. First, you lose your priorty in waiver order. Second you have to put the player on the 53 man roster.
