The Mueller Report. BREAKING NEWS: AG’s Summary Report Released. NO COLLUSION!

Right after being fired - Comey leaked his notes through his professor friend.  Knowing what we know now, Comey's interactions with the President and others have not aged well at all.   Comey is asked by the President about leaks, McCabe, Flynn, and others and he's clearly not honest or forthcoming with the President especially with Comey knowing very well about the Page FISA and FBI surveillance, the entire Dossier and its origins, various leaks originating from the FBI and several other circumstances surrounding the Russian hoax.   Comey should realize now in hindsight that Trump in the moment of their meetings knew some things, asked for answers and knew Comey was bullshitting him.  Comey defends McCabe who was running the Trump campaign surveillance, leaked and handled the Dossier.  Trump and Reince were testing Comey.  Comey has stated that he leaked his notes in part to increase the chances that a special counsel be appointed.  Sessions caved under the pressure.  It (the Mueller probe) should have never happened.  We know that now as it didn't produce conspiracy charges for Flynn and others.  Comey along with others bought themselves 2 years of cover.  That had to be Comey's goal, to protect his cronies.

Read it.

He might as well ask Strzok what his thoughts are while were at it

Nixon is different than Trump who has a firm 40% support no matter what.  Clinton's approval ratings went up into the 70's when he was impeached so it will probably backfire.  Dragging the impeachment out like this is the smart play.  Barr didn't do anything wrong up to this point from what I've seen as Mueller put him in a tough spot.

Mueller's statement was in pretty sharp contrast to what Barr said a few months ago.  Barr was only in a "tough spot" because he was/is trying to cover for Trump, even though the report is pretty damning.

It's factually incorrect to say that Trump firing Comey, going on Lester Holt and saying the firing of Comey was Russia related, and then the Special Counsel being hired just a few days later aren't directly connected? Seriously???

Which was Volume I and which was Volume II again? ... Collusion/conspiracy and alleged treason were the drivers of the FBI and USIC investigations (per the official story) and the SCO. If they weren't, that order would be reversed. ;)

McCabe is not a reputable source on this subject considering he's the subject of three known criminal investigations.

Dude get real.  The very best one can do for Mueller is call it he said she said.  To assume which one is lying you'd need to look at the known facts, all of which were written by Mueller but align with what Barr said much more directly.

To boil it down to one question: If there was obstruction and Trump was not charged because of one rule that protected only him, why was no one else charged with obstruction?

Not one person in his orbit was charged with obstruction of the investigation.  Think about that.  Do you think if one low level lackey stepped out of line on a Wednesday afternoon and told Andrew Weisman to get bent that it would have been let go?  Or might they have brought him in and given him "the Flynn"?

Interesting that you and Buffalo Gal, both in the writing profession, use something like that to help with your writing :P

I haven't used it for my writing career, and look how far it has gotten me? ...OK, maybe not a good example.

Has everyone lost their minds? You don’t want to live in a country where a government paid prosecutor can hold a national press conference and cast a major shadow on your reputation but then conclude by saying he’s not going to charge you. Your life is ruined. You can’t put up a defense. And all of this is on national television. Comey, Mueller...my god what’s happened here?!!

We are all 1000% INNOCENT unless someone can prove you are not! And you’re entitled to a defense in a court room with rules that protect the defendant. These so called professionals need to shut the f&$k up before we lose the whole system.

can you imagine that in the past, present, and future that people were, are, and will be willing to lay their life down for their country without fanfare

and snowflakes like Mueller can't even bow out gracefully without a lame comment every week

it's hard when you are thrown into a case without an actual crime or damages to tie into

you get 16 TB of info and there's nothing to lead you

but fun to waste time for 2 years running out the clock every day, stress-free and collecting a fat paycheck

Per Comey, no. Trump wasn't the target of the investigation (if you buy that).

And even if he became that during the SCO, he's been cleared of those charges.

McCabe, on the other hand, was found to be so derelict in his duties on this specific issue he was fired, lost his pension, and is currently under multiple investigations.

How did Barr whitewash when even Mueller said he has no problems with how Barr presented the material?

You're wrong on this issue, and have been for two years. A smarter person would take the L and move on. Doubling down on your ignorance now is not going to go the way you think.

Barr said that Mueller had no problem with what Barr said...go back and listen to what both men said...Mueller refuted pretty much everything Barr clamed back in March.

No, Mueller said in his press conference that Barr acted properly. You are wrong. Again. Because you didn't read the material for yourself and are (once again) relying on the media to do your thinking for you. Sad.

The attorney general then concluded that it was appropriate to provide our report to Congress and to the American people. At one point in time, I requested that certain portions of the report be released and the attorney general preferred to make — preferred to make the entire report public all at once and we appreciate that the attorney general made the report largely public. And I certainly do not question the attorney general’s good faith in that decision.

To Buff, a "whitewash" is to release all the information rather than just snippets.

Barr released all of the report (less necessary redactions) because he wanted to whitewash what really was going on. Hot damn, he said: "I'll bury those little nuggets in a mountain of paperwork"!

A whitewash would have been Barr releasing his summary and then withholding the report from the public.  He's been as transparent as he could be.  Now the Jussie Smollett case is a whitewash.  Prosecutor tells cops to stop investigating, then drops charges and then attempts to have the records concealed legally.  Prosecutor covered it over.

Other than what Mueller said personally on this subject specifically, I think Buftex has a point. Had Mueller actually said anything other than what he actually did, it would seem he was saying something he did not.

In other words, sometimes you have to dig a little bit more to make the hole deeper.

It's because they've been misled.  Congress needs to do what's right, not what's popular.  That's why we elect people like AOC to represent us - they know better than we do what has to be done.

Nice. Glad you corrected that tweet about how Mueller said there was "no criminal conspiracy." Because I'm sure you are aware, he never said that, but truth, who needs it in Trump world
