Unless you have very deep pockets OR a gambling addiction, you don't do something like that without conferring with your significant other ! CLTbills
I don’t know who, but I’m sure I know where to find him.. the edge of the nearest cliff so he doesn’t have to explain to his wife why he lost $5k!

Lurker
http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/24774007/buffalo-bills-shock-unbeaten-minnesota-vikings-pull-largest-nfl-upset-23-years "The upset proved costly for some Las Vegas gamblers. On Sunday morning, a bettor at a William Hill sportsbook in Nevada placed an $18,000 money-line bet on the Vikings at odds of -1,800 for a chance at netting $1,000." "The Westgate SuperBook told ESPN it took a $9,000 money-line bet on the Vikings at -2,000 odds shortly before kickoff. That bet would have won a net $450."

BuffAlone
I tried going to his post, but it was locked. I was gonna offer a paltry $100 indecent proposal to his wife, but the post was locked. Poor Bastard lol. Miss Rush, look me up?
DisplacedBillsFan
I put $10 on buffalo to cover the spread and $3 on them winning the game outright. I came out with about $47 in winnings. I'm not sure I would ever bet $5k on any NFL game. There's no such thing as a sure thing when betting. Not with that kind of spread. I don't care how bad the other team looked. The favored team does not cover that kind of spread very often. Its best just to stay away from that game. Quote When the home team is favored by more 10 points or more, they cover the spread only 45% of the time. Around this point, it may prove profitable to start betting the visiting team. Finally, when favored by 15 points, the home team covers 35-40% of the time. Betting the other side is almost certainly profitable in the long term.
