Yes Josina, but how does he feel about possibly showering with a gay teammate?

I hope someone takes his head off before he's able to collect

His butt buddy OBJ would be jealous

This is why Miami was right to trade him.

You're paying $15M for a possession receiver; he's now making more money than AJ Green, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, and Alshon Jeffery, all of whom are better players.

You can have him Cleveland.

In other news, Aaron Williams' current salary is $0. Seems fair

Not sure that's completely fair to Landry, but it certainly is an interesting circumstance to contemplate.

Williams wasted a couple of years as a pro, but he turned it around.   Landry changed the course of his career, for sure.

It's not a bad deal. They have a ton of cap space and Landry is very productive.

The market has spoken and great receivers are getting 14-15 million. His best football may be ahead.

Dolphins have always used him in that quick route slot role. Maybe the Browns can send him more than 10 yards down the field?

These comparisons always fall short. Every year the cap goes up by $10 million. They should really be comparing "percentage of salary cap at time of signing" but I've never found anyone that tracks that.

8.8 YPC is not worth $15M per season. He requires no special attention from opposing defenses.

That was playing with Matt Moore and Jay Cutler.  Career he is over 10 YPC and very similar to Welker in his prime in that department.

Wow! 10 YPC!

Best slot reciever of all time averaged 10.  Landry is doing that with spotty qbs.  Landry is not top 5 right now but he is better than Watkins, and you cant name 10 wrs more productive than him.

He's overpaid no matter how you try to spin it.  No one is disputing the fact that he's a good player who produces based on volume.

Lead the league in catches 4th in Tds.  He is 5th in money seems about right when Julio and Becham will reup soon.

Watkins had 9 TDs on 39 catches last season which is the same as Landry on 112 catches.  Overpaid slot receiver who does not dictate coverage.

Dez Bryant is average at best,  and Jeffery isn't elite by any means.

Not just catches, look at targets when assessing Landry.  He gets 10 targets per game, and ranked tied for 3rd in the NFL in targets in 2017.

There are 33 receivers that had at least 100 targets last year, and among them Landry ranks:

17th in yards

6th in TDs

30th in yards/catch (the 3 guys that ranked behind him were Jack Doyle--a TE--and RBs L. Bell and C. McCaffrey)

31st in targeted air yards average

7th in 1st downs

7th in YAC

5th in catch %age

So what you're paying high-end WR1 money for is a guy that catches a high percentage of his passes, does so almost exclusively near the LOS, and is able to move the sticks with YAC and be effective in the red zone.  Is that worth WR1 money?  If so, then Adam Thielen is going to get paid when he's up for a contract, because his numbers are quite similar, except that his targeted air yards average is nearly twice that of Landry.

Correct...but they're better players than Landry.  They do more with fewer targets; Jeffery had the same number of TDs and 16 fewer first down conversions on 40 fewer targets, and his yards/reception figure was over 50% greater than Landry's.

Landry puts up numbers because they force feed him the ball.

Landry is not as good a WR as Watkins. He's a slot guy the Browns decided to pay like a #1. With a QB who won't throw over the middle !
