BuffaloRebound
That team and organization are a bunch of joyless d-bags. They are the epitome of the No Fun League. Gronkowski is the only thing that makes them less insufferable. Could care less if Atlanta beats them though.
Boatdrinks
Same here. Don't care to watch, just hope Atlanta wins.Tomlin needs to send someone out there to cheapshot Brady or Edelman. Pats still passing. Yep, this one will be DVR only for me. Watch only if ATL wins , rewatch last 5 mins 10 times like I did with the Giants both times. Kept those on my DVR for an eternity just to watch the final drive(s). Thought I'd have another one with SEA a couple years ago until they lost their collective minds and didn't give the ball to Lynch for the game winner . marvlevy
First season I have not watched a game. New england has drained my soul year after year so done with the NFL. When I was a teen I followed the buffalo braves, sabres and bills living in Niagara falls. Over time it appeared to me it all appeared to be rigged. First I abandoned the braves then the sabres now the NFL entirely. It feels good. I don't have to explained to anyone tomorrow why my team sucks. I don't have to endure any more rebuilding seasons. I don't have to witness blatent pass interference infractions against my team being ignored while the shoulder bump on the hail marry throw is called against my team. Its liberating because I know the boys in the corner office will never allow my team to go back to the super bowl. I hope more and more people will just turn it off especially having to endure endless reappearenaces of tom Brady and the guy in the hoody. Gordio
What a horrible super bowl. Who cares if Atlanta--america's blandest sports city--wins? The NFL is a staled product. Honestly can yesterday's games be anymore less competitive. Outside of NE everybody is sick of seeing Brady/Hoody. It is a tired act & I just can't get excited for it. Atlanta, is a team honestly who cares about. That city is a bunch of transplants that will hop on board when the team is doing well but has a passive interest in their team any other time. 14 out of the last 16 superbowls the AFC has been quarterbacked by Brady/Manning/Big Ben. If I am Goodell *I am hoping Brady retires soon because NFL fans are just sick & tired of seeing him.

I am serious about this. If they were already on the fence about retiring, then yeah maybe your idea makes sense. I thought Brady said he intends to play for years to come? He isn't ready to retire. And he might not even be as close as people think. I hope the Patriots get blown out in the most embarrassing Superbowl ever. I don't think that is going to happen, but that would be very enjoyable. CanadianFan
What NFL knows but won't acknowledge is Belicheat & Kraft gang are eroding and soiling the NFL brand by tainting it with excrement of their cheating. Dan Quinn and Ryan playing the game on the straight and narrow haven't got a snow ball in hell's chance of beating Belicheat & Kraft co. The last feel-good dynasty are the 49ers. As long as Belicheat and Pats keep owning the rings, NFL will always reek. I don't think I'm going to be watching superbowl. If Falcons win, I'll watch the re-runs. NorthBuffaloKid
The NFL seems to be on it's way out, choking on it's own success. They allow an idiot to disgrace our country while not allowing a show of support for our cops? The players seem to think they are better than us (Remember Watkins and his "little jobs" comment?) How about Darieus, all of his actions are a snub to the people who fill the seats and pay his salary. As much as I like the Pegulas for saving the team, when was the last time they had to forgo something to pay the bills? (not the players). They are NOT regular people. Just like the rest of the owners, they have considerable money and influence. Hubris will be the undoing of football. They took a great game and slowed it down (too many commercials, instant replays) and made it almost a non-contact sport. For this, we pay these spoiled self indulgent idiots millions, investing emotions, time and $... If they don't shape up, they will lose more fans than they already have...I'm leaning towards hiking on Sundays Edited January 23, 2017 by NorthBuffaloKid

There were rules against spearing, clipping and many other infractions that are now over analyzed. If it didn't fall into any category, a unnecessary roughness would cover it. I'm not sure what you're saying about my having more in common with the attitude that I portray, but OK... All of this crud slows down the game. It's become so slow that they a game that used to take 3 hours now goes 3 1/2. Do you think Butkus would be able to make it with today's rules? How about Lambert? Not a chance. He's be yelling at his fellow soldiers, wanting a cappuccino and a new ruling on whether an enemy was being "mean" to him. Butkus and Lambert would be ejected from almost every game they were in for being too rough. Edited January 23, 2017 by NorthBuffaloKid

BADOLBILZ
I realy, really, really want the pats to win because it'll give brady and belichick five rings apiece and make it more likely for them to retire. I am serious about this. Yeah at this point I certainly don't care if the Pats win another one and you might be right. It would be hard for Belichick to walk away because he has: 1) The team of subservient minions he's always dreamed of.......Brady and zero other stars. 2) Nobody wants his coaches or front office personnel because they think it's all BB...... so he doesn't have the continuity issues that lead to some bad drafts and weak defenses for a brief period a few years back. 3) About $75M in cap space. They are set up like nobody's business. His biggest problem may be that he HAS to spend some of that money to reach the 3 year cap minimum. That said......if Belichick did retire any other coach could f*ck it up entirely in just a couple seasons so we can only hope he decides to call it quits. CommonCents
I'm glad we didn't interview either of the Pittsburgh coordinators. Both of them are terrible. Why sit in zone for the duration of 4 quarters? Why go play action bomb on your opening drive when it's 3 and 1? The defense held the Patriots to a FG and the Steelers were in position to put their stamp on the game. Haley Whaley goes 3rd and stupid and hurries that defense back onto the field...sure lets try and get in a shootout with Brady and let's burn out our defense that we don't rotate. Great great!!! Perhaps the most idiotic calls were the ones that came after Jesse James was tackled at the half yard line. Hey Haley Whaley did you ever think of running a QB sneak with your 6'7 doughboy?!
