That's 14. Who are 4 more we can add to get a list of who might be there at 49?

Cravens, Butler...

Holy crap I forgot all about Bell too. If we can get any of Bell/Correa/Cravens, this will be a great start for our D.

Chris Jones would be a great pick in the 2nd.

Yep, Id love him/Reed/Butler to lock down the middle. But I also want to address something besides DL.

edit: oops, i somehow missed the Carolina pick. guess Butler is out. oh well.

If the Bills come away with Lawson and Chris Jones there would not be a high enough grade for me to give them...

That would be absolutely amazing...

But I would be thrilled...I mean thrilled with Jones, Billings, Reed, or Robinson...I'd like to see the Bills get a player that can play some 0 and 1 tech with this next pick... B-)

Just at a glance the #46, 50, 51, 52, and 53 players on NFL.com's board went in the 1st...So it's pretty much a given a few surprise names are going to slot in before the Bills pick at #49... B-)

I'd think about Whitehair or Hunter Henry. Henry and Clay would make Roman's two-TE sets a pain in the butt to defend, and would play slightly different roles from one another. Rex' teams by their nature need to be able to churn out first downs and dominate time of possession, yet we led the league in 3 & out percent. Gotta think about keeping the chains moving at some point.

I'd rather wait on more DL help personally, think we could get one of bandit's nose tackles a good deal later and have both 3- and 4-man fronts locked and loaded.

WR, NT/DT, or RT would be the positions I would like to see targeted. MLB's can be found in round 3 as I would feel confident in grabbing one there and platooning with what is on the roster. Finding a backup safety can also be picked up in round 4. If the Bills struck big On Shaq at OLB and can find a solid starter at either WR, NT/DT, or RT and find a depth piece or two in the mid rounds then the team has a real chance to make the playoffs. But that's a lot of ifs, so much riding on this draft for the upcoming season.

Can you link the interview? Man I would be back flips for Boyd, IMO best WR in this draft.

i watched the interview late last night and I didn't notice it. Was it his press conference about Shaq or a different one? Anyway in that one Whaley looked and sounded completely exhausted. He misspoke a few times - like he had been talking about these players 24/7. As to be expected.

But yes, I'd love Tyler Boyd too. Pitt guy, so always a possibility!

I think there will be a lot of teams trading up in the 2nd. Lots of first round talent at the beginning and then a big dropoff. What would it cost for Bills to move from 49 to say 40? A 5th rounder? I think it's worth it to get another round 1 talent who will be an immediate starter

Its going to be a sweat but Miller and Shepard are still on the board so teams have other options. If Boyd makes it to 49 I think he is the pick, I wouldn't be surprised if we hopped a team or two if need be. Boyd, Alexander, Billings, C Jones, D Jones, hopefully tonight is more enjoyable than last nights train wreck on live TV with Tunsil.

In Whaleys interview he mistakenly mentioned Tyler. Did he just give up his pick for the 2nd round? Tyler Boyd WR out of Pitt?

This one? At 2:08 in he misspeaks and mentions Floyd when someone asked him about Paxton Lynch and he didn't want to discuss someone else's player and didn't want to take away from Shaq's limelight.

Watkins, Boyd, and Woods to slot. hankerson, Boykin, Salas and maybe Greg Little as depth. Also a later round speedster/deep threat to replace Goodwin such as Kolby Listenbee.
