How come, despite having a defensive head coach, our defense is a liability year in and year out? I’m getting frustrated at this point Texans got a kings ransom from the Watson trade and had 3 years of being somewhere between very bad and awful to stock up on early picks
Scott7975 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago This drive coming out of the half is going to tell us everything. 1

McDermott, just as bad as Beane, does not have any clue on how to coach an NFL defense. No clue whatsoever. He's a fraud. He was a never a defensive guru. Whoever came around with that oil snake salesman slogan for McDermott, should have gotten a raise. If Josh doesn't throw that pick this game might be different but yeah defense fell about that drive giving up 3.

It's like Brady is just closing his eyes and picking the plays. The offense was going to struggle on the road against the best D in the NFL. The problem is 100% the D. 1

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Offense has to score a TD on every drive again like usual. Thats real sustainable. Thanks coach

I expected small improvements at the very least actually. Regressing to an even worse version of an already bad defense is a fireable offense for everyone involved given how many resources they poured into it. Hoecht, Ed, various guys playing hurt. Feel that has somerhing to do with it. What scares me is, it will be another defense heavy draft for sure. LB, DB depth, Line depth. Our D is just too slow to the ball. Texans D is so freaking fast.

The ***** is plain as day. We are all die hard bills fans. We wanna win…how can you not see what this is. An average Defense we win a Super Bowl already. This coach IS the ***** problem All i know is that the journos have a lot to answer for.

Ralonzo Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago 10 minutes ago, stlbills13 said: That was the worst defensive half of the season. And there's been some awful ones Hire Richie Kotite in 2018 and give him Josh Allen. What's different about the last 8 years? The problem with McDummy running back the same defense he ran in 2015 in Carolina is, it's been solved to the point where even backup dumdums shred it up and down the field. It's not innovative, it's not smart, and it's not working. 1 1
T.E. Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago 5 minutes ago, ControllerOfPlanetX said: Bills games used to be fun…but the McDefense has made them totally unenjoyable. Outside of the Daboll years, they've always been a little bit of a chore to watch. McDermott loves these ugly games that coaches with weak QBs shoot for, which is odd given our situation at that position. 1
