skibum Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Glad it's not longer, looking forward to someone stepping up. Quote
MasterStrategist Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Ugh, ankles can be tricky. Well silver lining is he should be ready week 1, and he/Josh already have a great rapport. Palmer is missing time with a groin, hes more important to get reps IMO. 3 Quote
NewEra Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Fine by me. Less chance to suffer serious injury in preseason/camp. sucks that it’s another ankle sprain for him. His ankles are his lifeline on the field 1 Quote
Bangarang Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Time wise, this is very fortunate. I would expect him to be available for the opener though. 1 3 Quote
SCBills Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Both teams now have a player on watch for the opener… Shakir for us and Likely for the Ravens. Quote
billsfan89 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This team is hurting for a bye and it’s early August sigh 1 1 3 Quote
Awwufelloff Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago High ankle sprains can linger all season, brutal. 1 5 Quote
HIT BY SPIKES Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Well at least it was NOT a hip because they don't lie... 1 2 1 Quote
RoscoeParrish Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The pessimistic take is that Shakir is clearly our top receiving threat and it’s not really close. the optimistic take is that we have arguably 3-4 other guys who may thrive in the slot in his absence. 2 Quote
uticaclub Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago They understand his role in the offense. It's unfortunate that it's a high ankle injury, but now there are more opportunities for the fringe players to show their skills and build chemistry with Josh. Quote
davefan66 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hope the stated timeline is pre-season centric. Wonder if it would be a shorter timeline in season? Quote
RobbRiddick Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago See, if we traded the next 3 drafts for Parsons we wouldn't have this problem Quote
eball Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Should be good to go for the opener or W2. He knows the offense and his role; could be much, much worse. As others have noted, more reps for the younger guys to build their case for the 53... Quote
Sojourner Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If he misses any regular season games, hopefully they aim to use Keon from that slot role 1 Quote
billsbackto81 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Outside of season ending injuries, these are the worse in my opinion. Time lines are so difficult to predict with high ankle sprains and they linger all season long, a lot like turf toe. Hope he's ready for the opener but most likely won't be 100%. Quote
