Elam will be a probowler this season.

 

But I believe hes the only Bills CB ever to intercept Mahommes once in the regular season and intercept the Dolphins in the playoffs 

 

But that wasn't good enough for McDermott because Elam didn't fit in with McDermotts soft zone cerebral unathletic scheme

This is a magnanimous take and I'm maybe 90% on board. The other 10% is the %$@ him sentiment I have cuz he ended up being a dreadful first rounder for us at a position where he could have made a difference (even a small one could have helped).

He was Beane’s “Maybin.”  
 

Horrible pick.  Colossal bust. 
 

EDIT:  I don’t blame Elam and I don’t think he failed due to lack of effort.  Similarly to Maybin, he was overdrafted. Not his fault. I do wish him well, but I don’t think a change in scenery is going to elevate his level of talent.

The Chiefs failed him. If they had drafted him his handiness would have gotten him a HOF ticket already! Maybe a jacket, but at least a ticket!
