If you are current Directv subscriber is todays announcement gonna move you away from the provider?

I was really hoping that current DTV sat subs would be able to still get NFLST via Sat feed however announcements today appear to make it exclusive offering from YTTV.

If you are a current DTV subscriber will you continue?  For me it looks like a very easy decision to walk away.  I moved in middle of October and kept the sat subscription so I could continue to access NFLST via the ST App.  My HOA provides spectrum Internet and cable as part of our base fees so I was in No hurry to install dish on new home since NFLST a is the main reason I went to DTV in 1996.

I personally hate this decision since I a think the directv hardware is great, fast switching, whole home DVR, PIP and many other features that do not exist in any of  these streaming services that I am aware of.

wondering about others will you stay or will you go?

Anyone who stays with DTV loves being abused. Unless money means nothing to you, the savings realized by streaming services that offer promotions on a la carte movie channels is huge. The customer service on DTV is the worst and when the weather is bad (snow and wind) reception is spotty. Get rid of the dish and try a streaming service.

Switched from DTV to YTTV about 1 1/2 years ago. Best decision ever.

One of the best feelings I've had in the last 5 years, telling DTV where they can stick their dish.

Funny thing... they didn't even want anything back, told me I could keep it all or recycle.

OP - YTTV has all those features (except PIP).

Curious for anyone that knows...

Will I be able to subscribe to Sunday Ticket by itself now?  Or will I need to have an annual subscription to YouTube TV too?

Personally, I refuse to pay that much monthly for television service.

I prefer to use 2-3 streaming services at a time, and rotate them periodically.

I would be willing to spend money for Sunday Ticket alone.  But I'm not paying $80-90 per month to get all the other channels too.

some think as long as you have a youtube ID you can subscribe to just NFLST but will see if this holds true

Walk away.  It’s the only reason I have it.

Fast switching it does not.

I’m out.

Been with DTV since 2001.  I’ve overpaid for many years, just to get ST.  Used to love their customer service and tech service.  Would come out and repair equipment for free or replace with newest equipment.

Not where I’m going, YouTube if I must for ST.

Cant wait to bolt.

My wife couldn't be more excited to get rid of it. Had nothing but problems with them always trying to scam us for money. My favorite was the "free" subscription I got to hbo that we didn't even know we got then they were charging us for hbo because they said we never canceled it after the free period was over, but we never agreed to or was asked for free hbo. I'm not excited about having to pay for a new service but anything is better than direct tv

I despise DTV dish with a passion. They have the worst customer service of any company I can think of. If you want to add something they are there for you. If you have a problem or want to drop/reduce service they ghost you. It’s darn near impossible from my experience.

Having said that, I defended the cost to my wife by saying it was the only way to see the Bills. She can’t complain about what I spend on seeing the Bills, and she knows that. We now have DTV Streaming as well as the dish. Every once in a while the streaming goes out and needs to be reset. If she thought it was expensive to have DTV to see the Bills, I wonder what she’ll think of it as a redundancy measure for a few minutes every quarter. She will have to find out first, however. 😋
