If we're being realistic, there comes a point where money overrides winning.  He already has a Super Bowl ring.

every single person signing a deal in Jax agrees.

We cant fathom it, because to most of us A million bucks is life altering money. For these guys that's common place.

99.9% of the time these guys are going to the highest or 2nd highest bidder

Because the Bills dont have $17 million to offer him.  So common sense and the least amount of assumptions would tell me he took more money.

do you think the Bills were his only other option?

Its not as if they have an auction and every team offers you a deal though.  You might only get 1 or 2.  Guaranteed money is usually a big factor too.  I could shatter my knee and never play again - what's the minimum i'll get if that happens?

Why should i take a team discount to possibly suffer serious life changing injuries when the league and team don't have my best interests at heart?

Never ever trust any player when they claim it's not about money and they "just wanna win." Every time I've seen that type of situation, the player always goes to the highest bidder. And Beane absolutely refuses to get into any sort of bidding wars.

I'm sure he's out there making the calls and telling agents what type of offer they have. Something like (and this is hypothetical) "Yeah we can go 3 years for $30 million overall" and the agent says "Well, Vegas says they'll give us 3 years at $38 million, you wanna match? My guy says he wants to play there..." And Beane says, "Welp have fun with the other team. Bye. *click*"

They just do not have the assets to chase any of these big names. They're so tight against the cap that no matter their offer, there's at least a dozen or more teams out there that can easily outbid them.

Ah well. Keep on truckin'.

They have the assets and can make plenty of room. The cap can easily be manipulated. Look at the saints. Cleared $80mil with out releasing anyone.

I get the humor but the raiders did make the playoffs…and CJ makes them markedly more dangerous….They have two major pass rushers now….

Their division is going to be a bloodbath between all 4 teams. Which is good news for the Bills in trying to get that #1 seed.

They do when it’s $1billion in public money for a stadium.  I’m not one to want a splashy signing for it’s own sake, but I think McBeane’s gotta read the room a little here.  Replacing our JAG’s with other JAG’s is gonna leave the large majority of the fanbase uninspired.

You can't beat KC or good AFC playoff teams with defensive JAGS.  He's gotta know this. You keep schlepping guys like Murphy,  Addison or Hughes out there is counterproductive. And newsflash other than maybe Rousseau, these other 2 youngins probably don't stick.
