I liked Allen for the most part this game. His playmakers didn't show up for him. I don't blame the defense. It was pretty much exactly how I expected the game to go on defense. We needed the offense to be better.

Allen has had a rough season IMO worse then last year.

 

He used to feel clutch, winning most/all the close ones, always coming up with the play when we needed it. Being a "winner" in general.

 

 

Not so much this year. We almost never get the play we need this year and we have lost all the tight games

He's very likely a born and bred Patriots fan, from that area from what I've read. How Bills fans/media tolerate his meddling is a strange question. I guess they figure he asks the tough questions, but when you spend some of the 17 years getting off to good starts only to have one media guy stir up ***** constantly to unsettle the team...

I think there's plenty of blame to go around. Trying to decide if the offense or defense deserves more blame is rather like picking between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. 

 

Sure, the defense gave up "only" 14 points, but in those weather conditions that's a lot. Comparable games would be Ravens playoff game and the Colts snow game. 14 points is the most scored by any offense in those 3 games.

I know people don't like Sullivan, I don't either, but these guys didn't look good IMO. It's like taking the bait and retaliating. The fact of the matter is they gave up 4.8 YPC, 222 yards rushing and something like 10 chunk play 10+ yards. Their response goes to lack of accountability. You can't just throw out the long runs and say we did our job enough. Bad look.

Clearly the weather conditions significantly favored the running game.  Pats stopped our run game and we couldn't stop theirs. BB made the Bills throw the ball. He won the chess game.

 

The sad part in all of it is that we knew the Pats were going to run the ball.  They were going to continue to run the ball until we stopped it. We couldn't, for the most part.

 

As in most games this year, our offense had to rely way too much on Allen.  That makes things much easier to defend.  It's so extremely frustrating to not be able to pick up short yardage with the run. I chuckled two times last night when the announcers commented that we fooled the Pats by throwing the ball on a 3rd and 2.  No sir, we have to throw the ball in those situations.  We lose the LOS every single time!

Josh Allen is the only reason why we had a good opportunity to win this game.  Literally nobody else on the team stepped up at any point.  Except maybe Diggs who had one really nice sideline catch to make up for the perfectly-thrown TD pass that he dropped.

This.  Not a fan of Jerry Sullivan, but the defense deserves to be called out on their inability to stop the run.  Not that Poyer or Hyde are the main culprits here, but still.

If the question was asked today or tomorrow, I don’t have a problem with it.  15 minutes after a hard fought divisional game loss with everything on the line, that guy should be banned from the media room.  He was clearly trying to trigger Poyer and Hyde who were at an emotional low.  Guy is a low life.

I love Hyde and Poyer.. Poyer is absolutely an All-Pro, but when I look at this team right now, all I see is Kobe shaking his head and yelling the word "soft".

He's a total downer.......I am ok with "reality" but he is way overboard in a negative way, always has been.  Its like CNN or Foxnews...they talk about the same topics but slant them the way they want.  He is overly pessimistic.

You can’t find your way to blame both? 222 yards on 46 carries is acceptable with 3 pass attempts ? 
 

Both sides of the ball were embarrassed. 
 

its really frustrating that last season was just an asterisk like the Matt Cassell year and it’s back to pats owning AFCE.

I mean how much lower can the bar be for our offense? 

 

They got two amazing drive starts in the first half and botched that, and frittered away the last two drives as soon as they got into the Red Zone.
