They're real, and they're spectacular.

I doubt they can possibly be as spectacular as she thinks she is.

Cute young lady, but hardly the accomplishment she seems to think it is.

I hate to be the wet blanket, but people who over sell themselves annoy me.

I think you made your point with your first sentence. Everything beyond that is just you trying to sell yourself.

If she really wants to be taken seriously, tone down the model-style hair and makeup. You can still be pretty and not look like a dumb blonde.

But she seems to relish her glamorous look, so best wishes to her.

I've worked in the industry and there really is a way to present yourself... and get respect.

...because after years of experience, you learn that there are those who want to look like they work, and those who look like they work.

I've worked alongside women (and men) who were models too (fitness models), but if anyone comes to a site looking like they can't get dirty, you automatically lose any benefit of the doubt; Either you're a newbie, or just window dressing (which can be management, but not one to take seriously.)

So she can glam herself up, but it does come with some prejudices attached, and it has nothing to do with gender.

The one social media site I am a member of is LinkedIn, and I couldn't figure out why I seemed to be getting a lot of postings by young women dressed like this, pushing their skills or careers or products by what seemed to be prurient interest.  It turns out an older male connection who is pushing better recycling methods just can't stop liking these sorts of posts.  Unfollowing 'Mr. Recycle' solved the problem.  What I did find interesting was whenever someone suggests in the comments that the young lady 'tones down' the provocative dress or poses, she usually responds by saying it's her business, people don't know what a serious business person she is.  LinkedIn seems like a collection of barking seals, many vying for attention, but only wanting it for exposure, and interaction in their own limited parameters.
