Week 10 Postgame Thread: Bills at Cardinals 4:05 pm EST on CBS

Recommended Posts

More proof that the gods are not Bills fans.....uggg.....and more questioning whether my wife's right when she says "why do you do this to yourself?".....

It shouldn't have come down to a hail mary, or even a last minute Bills drive to win.  The team once again had a 3rd quarter collapse fueled by penalties and both the DL and OL getting man-handled.

Toss up game.

Some would say we got away w/ a few ourselves (Rams, Pats).  It kind of evens out.

Hate losing on a hail mary, but that's football.  This is a test for a young team w/ tons of promise - how they react to it is literally everything.

Beasley was our one WR that seemed to get separation consistently.  The dude just knows where to be for Josh.

No doubt, he was open a ton. I was calling for us to hit him in the GD threads. Finally in the 4th it clicked and got us what should have been the game winning drive.

Cole might be my favorite Buffalo Bill at this phase watching him bust his A$$ every week.

Being a Bills fan is hard. Part of it is dealing with the Bills losing,  Almost worse is the fans after a loss.  We lost to a good team on the road missing a BUNCH of important players in a strange Covid year on a last second freaky Hail Mary.

I’m upset, but I’ll deal with it. At least it was an NFC team, so that should help our playoff hopes!  :)

Penalties killed us. Yet we still should have beat a solid team .

I want 1 thing after the BYE,  A run Game for 17 and this offense.

You get a run game going and the possibilities are endless on O.

I'm still in my feelings. Still haven't accepted the outcome so I'll be back in a few days but I still feel highly of this team, just still in disbelief.  Our 3 best DBs on 1 man...🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Heartbreaking Loss. At least it comes against an NFC team. Now hit the bye and get freaking healthy. For the final stretch and playoffs

Healthy would be nice. It’s been patchwork all year. The loss sucked but I’m happy with 7-3

Now that I’ve calmed down a bit, that play was as well covered by Buffalo as it possibly could be. That’s just Hopkins going beast mode.

with that said, the Bills shouldn’t have been in a position to win that game, and a lot of it is down to their inability to run the ball.

the Bills game plan basically requires Josh Allen to be elite for the majority of the game. Both of those INTs are Allen making throws he probably wouldn’t be making with a better run game. The first was into semi coverage though really it was mostly Peterson making a play, the 2nd, Allen feeling rushed by a pass rush that was teeing off on him the entire game.

without some kind of functioning running game, this is how it’s gonna be. Allen carrying the entire offense on his back, taking too many risky throws. I mean the Cards have 3 really good DBs in Budda, Dre, and Peterson.

With Ford, Morse and Feliciano all hopefully coming back after the bye I have some hopes we’ll see some balance out of the Bills offense. But with Winters and Boetger there was little chance of a sustainable run game and Zona never bothered defending it.

Josh will claim he was as at fault, but he’s why we didn’t get blown out and why the Bills even had a shot at winning, but this is coming down the interior line play

Honestly when else have we been unlucky this season though...the pats fumble felt a little flukes and that pi we got against the rams couldve gone either way...a stroke of bad luck was due

The only thing I would fault the coaching on was being continuously fooled on Murray's fake hand off QB options.  Defense didnt seem ready for that throughout the first 3 quarters. They seemed to adjust to that later on in the game.  Other than that this was all on the players not making plays when it mattered.

Why not fault the actual players on the field instead of the coaching staff?   Every teams see that play every week from Murray.  No doubt they prepared for it.  They just didn’t stop it.

Yes, if I remember correctly from a thread last year, we actually want to lose the games outside of the conference.

yep, team is a joke.  Collapse artists minus Josh.  We almost handed the Rams the game also.  This bend but don't break nonsense broke us today.  We have beaten one legitimately good team all season (Sea), and even that's looking suspect now.  Miami will pass us and win the division.  Don't hate the messenger.  That team is MUCH better coached.

We beat this Miami team that you think is so well coached.

Well said.

I think at this point it’s going to come down to the bills vs Dolphins game .

I still like the bills odds playing at home against a rookie QB In January.

Also we forget that a hail Mary is mostly a hope for a PI in the end zone and we know the refs would have called anything for Hopkins. That was alot tougher task for our DBs than we realize

I’m really glad someone brought that up.  I believe Hopkins has the most PI calls in the league and it isn’t close.  Above all, the DBs needed to avoid PI.

It is not an easy pass to defend.

Do they track penalties by quarter?  We've got to have twice what anyone else has in the 3rd quarter.  Shouldn't be the case after the half-time break and adjustments.
