  1. It seems pretty simple to me: The team controls their destiny, they don't need to rely on other teams, they need to strap their helmets on and go out and play the kind of football they know they are capable of playing and kick Miami's wet, slimy butt.....if they can't get themselves prepared and ready to play a game this meaningful against a division opponent then they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.....that's how I see it.
  2. Found this on the Interweb so it must be true: The Buffalo Name Theory industry had a good year in 1863, perhaps inspired by a disagreement with Fillmore’s speech. Three new theories appeared in print courtesy of William Ketchum. The Seneca Named Buffalo theory (1863) is one of them. An old man whose Seneca name meant “Buffalo” lived by the creek. White settlers found him there, learned his name and its meaning, and so named the creek. Plausibility level: High The creek in question is Buffalo Creek....
  3. Yep, the Bills have won the last two regular season match ups.
  4. I like the optimism by the OP but having watched the Bills for near 55 years last night was one in a long series of Billsy loses - so very predictable - and gives me no reason to be optimistic. Can they run the tables? I doubt it. They're snake bit against KC and I think that the 13 second game is still in Allen's head.
  5. Unfortunately it doesn't matter now. The Bills need to lose Bass.....
  6. Heading up to the game from VA. Haven't been to a 4:25 game in Buffalo in a long long time - any idea when the majority of parking lots open and should I add time to the trip to the stadium due to new stadium construction? Thanks in advance.
  7. like I said, not alot, but maybe some.....personally, I'm getting too old to stay up for the TNF/SNF/MNF games! LOL
  8. Maybe because the Bills won't be a favorite next year so likely not to get as many Thursday/SNF/MNF games? There's a pretty good chance they'll finish 9-8 or 8-9 this year so probably not a lot of national exposure next year.
  9. Jim Kelly? If I recall he was pretty good and lead a very quick paced and dynamic offense. HOF I think....
  10. My son and I went up to that game. He had just texted me this week to remind me how sad that game was and how exciting the end was for the Bills.
  11. Shiver me timbers This game matters again, yea! Nite, nite, for Tua
  12. Toilet Ice my man, killer stuff.....little hard on the teeth, but what a high.........
  13. Having once been involved in a lawsuit where I was accused in of something I absolutely knew wasn't true I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until I hear otherwise. Mine turned out fine. The other party was looking for a quick settlement - could be the motive here too.....BUT - if its true he's really thrown away a whole lot with one comment.
  14. Nope, worse SB ending ever was "wide right"......
  15. That ref will never be able to go to Philly again, ever.....
  16. '67 season was the first time my dad took me to see the Bills.....the beginning of a lot of bad football until big Lou Saban came back. This made me feel old...oh wait, I am old!
  17. Absolutely a business, but I question, particularly in a small market like Buffalo, whether or not you actually need to win to make money. From 2088 to 2016 the Bills average attendance was 67,100 (rounded). In 2021 the average attendance was 67,816. TV money is not directly effected by wins and losses, merchandize sales are absolutely up but I don't know what split of that goes to the Bills v. the rest of the teams (maybe all stays with the Bills organization). My point is that in a small market like Buffalo, with out much else competing for the sports dollars fans spend on games, we fans are probably gonna go to games regardless. But you're absolutely right on merch sales. We all tend to buy more when the team wins.
  18. And the Bills will be watching again.....S.O.B.....
  19. And yet, Burrows and Bengals have owned KC....strange...
  20. Not Peyton, call Frank Reich get him in as OC and Asst. HC.....
  21. If you're touted as the league MVP, then yes, expectations are very very high. He's a great quarterback, but he can't be responsible for 3 turnovers against the Bengals and expect to win.
  22. Like the confidence, but Allen's been bumbling for probably the last four or five weeks. It just seems like the Bills get sloppy with big leads or against bad teams. I hope to heck you're right.
  23. When the live game gets to the opening kick off, I pause the TV until the radio catches up (seems to be about 40 seconds to a minute behind). Then I "micro adjust" the TV to stay in synch with the radio. Its not perfect, but pretty darn close.
  24. Couldn't agree more - I find him almost unlistenable. More normal game day process is to listen to the game on GR and synch it to the game on TV with the sound off (assuming the game is on here in VA). I'm seriously thinking about not doing that for the game Sunday and just going with the TV. But then my OCD kicks in and says I have to do what ever I've done the rest of the games (they've won). Get well soon Murph, please!
