  1. Yes, that's the key now - look forward Bills, not backwards. A tough one coming up against KC (I just don't see the Stillers going into KC and winning)....
  2. 7 for 7 is simply incredible - as I told my 27 year old son - he may never see that perfect a game by the Bills (or any team) again. I think the 1st half of last nights game and the 2nd half of the comeback game were the two best halves the Bills have ever played on all sides of the ball.
  3. Being married for a long long long time I get the frozen balls thing......
  4. I was thinking of getting a tee time for Sunday its gonna be so nice - wonder which course I should play????
  5. Maybe Haack took the points and put some cash on the Jets???
  6. Classic Buffalo Bills.....play down to the opponent. At home no less....
  7. Did I mention not letting bad teams hanging around???? Geez, oh Pete.....
  8. Tried to find the Patriots Covid list but no luck. Anyone have that? Or are they Covid free?
  9. But that's just it - "if they can stop the run..." The team hasn't really been able to stop the run against teams with winning records. So as much as I want to believe the Bills will win, what would be different about this week v. the other five weeks that they lost to winning teams? Go Bills.
  10. I have no reason to believe the Bills OL can allow Allen time to do anything so I have to think NE wins this one something like 24 to 6 or maybe 24-13.
  11. Right there with you (though was only five!)....great teams and Harry Jacobs was a huge part of what made those teams, particularly the defense, so great.
  12. Which leads me to ask - would you rather have one of those 7-9 seasons during the O-the 2000's drought where, as a fan you kind of knew going in it wasn't going to be good, or a season like this one where respected, national media, touted the Bills as not only SB contenders but probable winners and then have it go to poop? That's a tough one isn't it? For me, there was something comforting about being out of it by early October......
  13. I think several teams have proved you don't need a downfield passing game to beat the Bills. You only need to pound it on the ground and eventually (sooner it seems rather than later) the defense will give up a big run. And the weather could be nasty in NE as well - won't know that for a few more days. Anyway, I don't see this as a win - like it or not, the Patriots, who I personally thought would suck for at least a couple years, are back.
  14. Help me understand how the Bills will beat the Patriots? Very interested to hear that.
  15. The most important statement to date - the kid will get destroyed in another year if the Bills don't shore up the OL.....
  16. Very sorry to hear about Pike. Makes me feel old (which I am) when a player from 30+ years ago passes away.....
  17. In a fairytale world, yes, they'd win out, and dominate the playoffs....but this is the Bills, where fairytales go to die. I still believe that this disappointing season will, in the long run, be good for the team as weaknesses are clear and can be addressed. Back in July and August when many respected experts had the team as a true SB contender, no one was flagging the weak offensive line, the inability to run the ball, the inability to stop the run, etc. I was thinking today about the three other times in Bills history that the team was pretty dominant (or at least made the playoffs: Mid 60's - the OL and DL dominated in the AFL and allowed the other talented players to be successful; early 70's - The Electric Company allowed OJ to run wild and the Bills were very competitive and finally the SB years - both the OL and the DL dominated the AFC and it allowed the team to run a very up tempo offense that was just so much fun to watch (a bit like last year). What made those OL's in particular great was that the players were highly skilled AND played together as a unit for multiple games/seasons at a time. I'm not sure that the same 4 OL have lined up in the same positions for more than a game or two this season.
  18. If I recall, it does that in December in Buffalo, yes?
  19. As someone else said already - the defense has done fine against the really poor teams (including JAX) but, and this is a big but - against winning teams not so much. I'm to the point now that even if the team limps into the playoffs I don't think they can get past the first round so not that excited. Can't imagine they'll beat NE twice or Tampa Bay. And they should win the other three but suspect they'll have a brain fart in one of those games. Next year though I bet they come into the season with a chip on their shoulder, stay focused, don't read their press and get down to business. This team reminds me so much of the '89 Bills. And we all know what happened in '90.....
  20. Any chance the board here could get a collection together to donate to you so you DON"T attend the game? What's your price?
  21. Could it be that the million different versions of the offensive line mostly suck? Hard to have any kind of offense when the OL is so weak.
  22. The team is a couple of good offensive linemen and a solid running back away from going to the next level. The defense is quite solid enough. But when all else fails consultants can't hurt!
