Marty Shottenheimer placed in Hospice care
chaccof replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I stumbled across the 1968 Bills highlights film on YT last week and it was a pretty sad year, but one of the highlights was a Marty Schottenheimer pick 6. Made me wonder what happened to him and sad to hear about this. It seems to me that I've heard about several "old timers" who have either died from or have been diagnosed with Alzheimer and I can't help but wonder if its somehow related to blows to the head? -
Should NFL Adopt 3rd Place Game Week Before Super Bowl?
chaccof replied to Dr.Sack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What if they got a reasonably big check? Not SB losing size, but enough to get them interested? I actually think injuries are a bigger issue, but just wondering. -
He seems to be a real competitor which I like and will endear him to Bills fans.

That's right, it was 30 years ago tonight that I was curled up on the kitchen floor silently crying.....with my wife, the non-sports fan saying.....but its just one game.....

If you wanna feel REAL old...

I was born while Eisenhower was president (just barely)....for you younger fans, he was the GOAT in WW II.... Brady wasn't around then as far as I know..... -
Compared with the Super Bowl teams
chaccof replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to agree with this. I actually feel pretty good this morning thinking that the Bills should be more than competitive the next few seasons but then that damn free agency concept gets into my brain and I forget that teams can lose just as quickly as they gained....hopefully the front office can keep the key players together.... -
Most Impactful Bills Playoff Defensive Play?
chaccof replied to DE Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To your point, Stratton's hit on Keith Lincoln turned the game for the Bills and allowed them to win their first world championship. It has to be top 3, given that none of the other plays resulted in a world championship. Regarding Bailey's interception - I was at that game and it certainly came at a critical moment in an otherwise very tight game and lead to the AFC championship so I think that's top 3 as well. -
A Bugs Bunny fan! Yea!

Greatest Plays in Bills History
chaccof replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a great list. I'm surprised that I have no recollection of the Simpson interception at the end of the Jets playoff game. I recall the game, but not the play...weird..... -
Greatest Plays in Bills History

OJ's run for "five yards, maybe six" to break 2000 certainly has to be in the top 5 positive plays for the Bills all time. Despite what happened later..... -
Guys, I got that feeling again....

An oldie but a goodie....I believe Chuck Knox was the coach and that was late in the season after the Bills finally beat the dolphins after going 0-70's....yes the entire decade....that was back when beating the Dolphins was generally the highlight of the season. So not many highlights. And if you don't you're concerned I bet, like me! -
You can get treated for that now.....

Emotional attachment to Bills - perspective welcomed
chaccof replied to Rockee96's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You unfortunately have a very bad case of Bills fever.....the next couple of years could be the payoff though. As I read your post the only odd thing to me was that you were not from WNY. I realize there are Bills fans who didn't grow up in WNY v. teams like Dallas and Pittsburgh and others that have fans everywhere. My experience has been that 90% of the time I've met someone who is a Bills fan (identified by a piece of Bills clothing or hat) they have a direct connection to WNY. -
Fights in the stands during Wild Card Game? WTF?
chaccof replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is it my imagination or was there a fight in the background behind the two main contestants? -
Positive Comments Only Game Reaction Thread
chaccof replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I must say I enjoyed the games where the Bills won by 29 or 30, and the wear and tear on my ticker was substantial today, but boy, it feels great to be a fan of the Bills right now.... -
Exactly what I was thinking.....she supervises the work....but so long as it works, that's all that matters....I'll have the Bills hat that sucked for most of this century but this year has been THE hat on....like someone else said, its only weird if it doesn't work....

And you thought YOU were a hardcore fan...
chaccof replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank goodness they're okay! The team will appreciate all the fans the government will allow! -
I think for me its the substantial amount of positive hype being heaped on the team - I assume McD will make sure the team stays in the moment, but I'm old school and have Bills Fan PTSD so probably not warranted but none the less I'm nervous when I see every pundit saying its a blow out win by the Bills.

Aight....who's got tickets?
chaccof replied to The Firebaugh Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you have to get tested at the stadium a couple days before the game? For some reason I just assumed they were going to do a rapid test on game day for those attending in person. I can't wait for all this crap to be gone! -
Or an injury to Allen....that worries me more than anything.
