Bills two-time AFL champion, Al Bemiller passed away
chaccof replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
And he's another Buffalo Bill that stayed in Buffalo after his playing days....says a lot about the person and the town....God rest your sole Al. -
If, If, If - if the queen had cajones, she'd be the king.....The whole point with the Bills for 62 years is that its always something.....I can't fathom that they'll win out. I just hope they win the division.

How funny - I have the exact same glass sitting in our cupboard and during the season I never use it....last week I used it.....I knew it was my fault, I just knew it.... and my wife says I can't influence the game.....

I have a 1971 team ball signed by OJ and Al Cowlings.....I'd attach a pix but can't seem to figure out how to do it. I got it for my 11th Bday - parents gave the ball to a player named Julian Nunamaker who lived across the hall from us in the apartment we lived in, in Williamsville. He brought it to practice and got a slew of signatures. Those two stand out for some reason.....

NFL Week 6 - Bills victorious!!!! Over Chiefs - post game thread
chaccof replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
As an old time Bills fan (I'm as old as the team) - its still kind of hard to wrap my head around the Bills winning games like this. Years and years of crappy playing has caused Post Bills Stress Syndrome. I think the offense is helping me turn the corner......GO BILLS!!!!! -
I was going to start this thread if it didn't exist....my gosh, Milano was all over the field today. And the tackles he made in the open field were game savers IMO....He had 11 solo and 2 assisted tackles....just magnificent.

With all due respect to the OP, until any other Bills team gets to and wins the Super Bowl, the 90's teams will still be my benchmark. Those teams dominated the AFC and except for one game a year, albeit the big game, they were absolutely the best team on the field for every game. There was no doubt about whether they were going to win or not and when the team did lose, people were genuinely surprised. The current iteration is a lot of fun to watch. They've won the division which is great but really, nothing of note - no AFC Championship and no SB appearances. If this current team wins a SB, then they will supplant all previous Bills teams in the hearts of the fans IMO.

I wonder about that too. But on the other side of the coin, the team is already at game three of the season so you'd think maybe its not related to preseason.....

We don't have the mentality to win close games
chaccof replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
What worries me is that the Bills are 0-7 in one score games including 0-6 last season. They're going to have to win some close games to get to the big game. But if they can win by 30+ that's great too.... -
Oliver, Philips, Hyde all out against the Dolphins.

This one makes me very nervous given the situation in the secondary. Hopefully this isn't the game the offense lays an egg....there always seems to be one.... -
Is this the greatest day ever do be a Bills fan?

Nope, just smooth and refreshing..... -

Week 1 - Bills 31 ~ Rams 10 - Morning After Breakdown And Reaction

The only negative I saw was that was the game that should have been played last February.......and hopefully will be played this coming February....... -
PFT: Can the Bills thrive under the weight of high expectations?
chaccof replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree that there is no middle ground - this year! Either the team wins it all or we're going to be very disappointed. There is no team on paper better than the Bills. I think it comes down to whether the players want to seize the moment. I can't help but think of that old Lou Saban clip - "if we die, we die together, you can get it done, you can get it done, what's more ya gotta get it done...." I'm running out of years, Bills - get it done this year! -
Exactly!!!

What a brutal schedule. I feel like if they can go 3-3 the first six games the team should be able to win the division and maybe contend for HFA through the playoffs.....
