Bills -2.5. Chiefs -21.5

Um, what?  When someone wants to clean this up, great.  I have no idea, maybe the Gin and Tonics are getting to a person or two what any of this means.  If you want to discuss the Oats, I’m sure there will be more than enough threads to discuss.  I wouldn’t say anything until I know what looks good on the injury report or back to full practice report.  Until then, it’s not even worth discussing as who we have matters as much as how the Pats played.

Funny; I was just reading through the posts here and thinking "Wow, it's 9:03pm eastern and I guess folks have been drinking for a while now."

😜

Very telling that the Bills are essentially getting the home points in this game against a team that has loss 3 in a row (2 blowout losses) and were just steamrolled by a very mediorce team at home.

Vegas always knows and I dread whats coming on Sunday.

What exactly does Vegas know? They just make estimates on where there would be an equal number of bettors on both sides .

San Fran isn’t exactly mediocre despite the personnel losses .

The same mediocre team you have winning the AFCE in your point differential thread

If San Fran isn't mediorce then what the Dolphins did to them should tell you exactly why they are going to win the division and stomp us when we play them later in the season.

And what vegas knows is despite the pats losing 3 straight they are still even with the Bills despite their respective records and can easily win a game in Buffalo which they've done every year since 2011.

That is some dizzying logic right there .  Didn’t know there was a transitivity rule that applied to football?  So if the Dolphins blew out the Niners ,  they must be in line to blow out the Bills later this season ?

Ok now I think you're just trolling. I understand being skeptical towards this team but didn't we beat the raiders and therefore should of beat the chiefs with that logic. What one team does to another has no bearing on any game in this league, it's week to week man. Teams look like world beaters one week and can suck the next.

The niners were missing almost their entire secondary vs the fins.  They won’t be missing those guys vs us.

I'm starting to think IQ stands for Ignorance Quantified.

Vegas does indeed know. But they know next to nothing about football.

And everything about how people bet football.

Bills are home so that would normally give you 3 points. But Covid, so not sure if that gives you much. The Jets area awful, but TWENTY ONE (and a half) points?

discuss.

Vegas is only giving 1.5-2 pts this year for home field due to COVID

Is -21.5 the biggest spread ever?  I'd be betting the Jets all day long.

Think the Broncos had the biggest spread ever over the Jaguars a few years back, something like 28 points. The Jags covered but it was still a big loss.

First, Vegas is simply trying to get even money on the games so they can be assured a decent profit regardless of outcome. They are not in the business of picking winners and losers.

But to your larger point, until proven otherwise I will always take the Pats side against the Bills and just hope I 'm wrong.

I expect a tough game regardless of team records.

I believe just last year in the same week both Miami and the Jets were around 21 point dogs to the Cowboys and Patriots respectively. I think one covered and one did not. I believe the Jets ended up covering off of a couple garbage time Stidham turnovers.

I wouldn't touch that Chiefs-Jets game. I could see the Chiefs covering but at the same time if they call off the dogs then I could see a meaningless Jets TD for a back door cover. I would take the Bills minus 2.5. NE doesn't have the talent this year. Bill can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****. It won't be a blowout but I expect the Bills to win. 6-2 overall 4-0 division.
