Gretchen Whitmer

Recommended Posts

I’ll bet she talked Joe’s nose off with a four hour harangue listing her accomplishments through her Mommy Management style of governing. She promised him that he could stay in his basement in Delaware and she would let him come to DC from time to time and she’d let him even visit her in the White House.

I know you don't think Trump is funny at all so you think she is a little smart? Then we agree. I just disagree on Trump, I find his trolling of libs hilarious

Just pretty obvious she is much more intelligent than Trump. A better person, too.

She is trying to save lives, Trump just doesn’t care at all, unless it’s affects him.

Yeah, I particularly like how she saved lives by not allowing people to buy seeds to plant gardens in their yards, or to buy paint to redecorate their homes.

Oh, or how she saved lives by having her husband name drop her to rent a boat to vacation, in violation of her own orders.

Let's not forget how she saved lives by allowing people to congregate, in violation of her rules, to "protest".

Of course, she saved a ton of lives when she vetoed a bill allowing nursing homes to ship out infected residents. Which is not even counting how many lives she saved when she, like Il Douche, the Butcher of Albany, issued executive orders that forced nursing homes to accept infected people.

Nothing compares to her orders to prevent Michigan residents from isolating themselves in their 2nd homes/cottages/camps in the Upper Peninsula while simultaneously allowing out-of-state people to go to their 2nd homes there. Oh, and banning fishing from motorized boats while allowing it from non motorized boats.

Man, she should be nominated for sainthood, with all the lives she saved enacting those dictatorial directives.

nope, wrong color, but if he was smart he'd chose Warren, the others, Rice and Harris have too much baggage

It says a lot that people think Rice and Harris have more baggage than Warren The Scold.

Not even Biden can be dumb enough to choose a governor from a state he badly needs to win who won the governors race by less than 4% who has easily pissed of more than 4% of her supporters.

So he's gonna pick a former police chief in the dreamy leftist age of defunding the police?

This magnifies the problem with a President Joe Biden.

He will persistently paint himself into a corner.

This VP charade is nothing new.

Even the truest Democrat has to be sweating this VP choice a little.  Whitmer and Harris are as likeable as HRC, Karen Bass appears to like communists, and Susan Rice, while the best choice out of the bunch, is eyeballs deep in Libya and other Obama-era shenanigans, is not an experienced politician, and while I've got no problem with it, absurdly wealthy.

A Whitmer choice is John McCain's Palin choice.  It has great optics until she'd need to campaign.

Just like America doesn't like Presidents with facial hair anymore, I can't see America getting behind a VP or possible President named Tammy.  Sorry Senator Duckworth.

It's very dangerous to live in the U.S. since Trump took power , I wonder why.

Over the past eight years, anyone who disagreed with Obama’s failed policies was called racist.

But what happened prior to Obama being in the White House? Well, they called conservatives, President Bush and Republicans “Nazis.” What they are doing now is really nothing new; they are just using the same tired tactics they used before because they can’t have an honest discussion about policy, EVER.

Regular Americans got tired of being called “racist” for simply disagreeing with Obama. Some nimrods on the left still claim that those who disagree with Obama’s (now proven to be FAILED) policies did so only because they are racist. These people are one of the reasons President Trump was elected.

Now, the people who disagree with the left are being called Nazis, because the left can’t discuss policy nor can they have an honest discussion about Trump, Democrats, history or Republicans. They are hysterical and idiotic, and in the cases of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, violent.

But the left has been making “Nazi” claims against Republicans and Republican Presidents for years, it’s nothing new, as The Federalist notes:

The original Nazi's were socialists.  "National Socialist Party".  Franco and Mussolini were Fascist, as was Peron in Argentina.  Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Castro were communists.  When somebody calls a conservative a Nazi they are calling them a socialist.  They should do some fact-checking.

All the above have pretty much the same philosophy.  Use the power of "The State" to force citizens into arrangements and actions against their will and believing citizens exist to serve the State.  This is also what the alt-left wants.  And Neo-Conservatives.  Time for everyone to figure out the left or right don't really care about them.  They view you as a servant of the state and a cash ATM for their programs.  Once you come to that conclusion you realize all this political bantering is just a bunch of male bovine manure.

...wonder how her non-essential constituents feel about "fair and balanced"?......

Whitmer offers free college to 625,000 essential coronavirus workers

Michigan will invest a total $24 million in the program from March's CARES Act

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Thursday detailed a plan to offer free college to some 625,000 essential coronavirus workers who helped provide frontline services between April and June.

Futures for Frontliners, first announced in April, would cover community college tuition for employees without college degrees working in industries ranging from manufacturing to retail, according to new details provided Thursday.

"This initiative is Michigan’s way of expressing gratitude to essential workers for protecting public health and keeping our state running,” Whitmer said in a statement. "Whether it was stocking shelves, delivering supplies, picking up trash, manufacturing PPE or providing medical care, you were there for us."

She added that the initiative will give essential workers the "chance to pursue the degree or training" they have been "dreaming about" to help themselves and their families.

Michigan will invest a total of $24 million through the Governor's Education Emergency Relief Fund (GEERF), which is part of the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Congress passed the CARES Act and President Trump signed the bill in March.

Not exactly...

Michigan Supreme Court: Governor exceeded powers during coronavirus pandemic

The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday struck down months of orders by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that were aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus, saying she illegally drew authority from a 1945 law that doesn’t apply.

The court said the law was an “unlawful delegation of legislative power to the executive branch in violation of the Michigan Constitution.”
