GreggTX
Ouch is right! In the meantime, I'm anxious to see how we do against a playoff team. The Bengals look awful right now, but I think they'll get better. Pats on their way. The Eagles and Cowboys will be especially tough. Cleveland, Houston and TN will also be tough tests, IMO. 1 hour ago, BillsfaninSB said: If the Pats beat the Jets 45 - 0 I wonder if that is good for us. They're gaining even more confidence even though they haven't beaten any playoff teams yet. That's never a good thing for the other teams.

Warcodered
To be fair to the Jets have had a lot of bad luck with injuries and illness, plus their HC is the villain from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The Dolphins are apparently going to try and build a whole new team from scratch in the Draft which I always thought was more of something you do in video games not real life.

The Bills aren't the Jets or Dolphins any more, but they still have to prove themselves. Do the Pats have the same historical success if they aren't in the ever lackluster AFC East? Would the Bills have made it to 4 Super Bowls if they hadn’t beat up on the Colts, Jets and Pats?

BigDingus
The Pats probably feel disrespected by that line, and Belichick will use it as motivation for his team to come in & hang 50+ on the Jets.

DaBillsFanSince1973
what would be really nice to see if both the teams favored by a large margin some how end up having one of those bad games? one thing I do feel is the jets D is going to put the wood on brady, division games usually, no matter how bad one team may seem to be can play pretty close? care nothing about the fins/cowgirls but certainly hoping the jets can put a hurting on marcia so the next week she becomes vulnerable? Zerovoltz
I didn't touch those spreads, but I did put 100 on the UNDER in Miami Dallas. O/U 47. I can see Dallas getting out to a nice lead and letting their physical D and run game just churn clock. I should probably go Dallas and the ponits too, but I could see something like 28-6. The under seems like the safer bet in my mind.

Randomize the divisions every X amount of years. 5 years or so. Divisions do not matter anymore due to lack of travel constraints. Throw all the AFC teams into a hat and randomly draw for divisions. Same with the NFC. Think of how much of a disadvantage the Bills, Jets and Dolphins have had to be in a division with the best QB and coach combo in history. We are just lucky the Bills themselves haven’t been overly competitive during that time. I would rather see each team play everybody in conference once, no divisions, like the EPL or PAC-10. There is fifteen. Then add one to three out of conference games depending on whether it is a 16 or 18 game season. No one could beat up on their weak sisters and we would have a much more competitive league.

There are no locks but “safe” bets this weekend to me would be the Lambs (the Clowns are soft up front on offense and Wade’s defense should make it a long day for Mayfield), Indy has a soft spread (-2) and betting history is on your side in that one. I like to bet in odd numbers so I am generally right or wrong at the end of the day; so for a third, even though it is big money I like the Cheats. Belichick against a rookie QB. Bell is going wish he had stayed in Pittsburgh. Just remember when all three of these are wrong, I was never here and it is for entertainment purposes only.

Thanks for pointing this out. Although I know that, I hadn't really taken it into consideration. Just another reason, and holds a lot more merit to get after it. I've never really understood why teams get away from what has been successful for the majority of the game and go into prevent. I might be wrong here, but it seems like when that happens, the opposing team starts to move the ball and score. Just my opinion of course. I don't have any numbers to back any of this up, it's just how it seems to me.
