Pine Barrens Mafia
In the spirit of allowing the over-emotional gameday thread posters a chance to recant their in-game foolishness, I thought It might be a good idea to resurrect an ancient TSW tradition. This thread is for you to walk back your hottest of takes, be it a "Put in barkley" or "Josh Peterman" take, whatever that may be. Now's your chance to atone for foolishness, Bills fans. Have at it. As for me...I repent for my underestimating Motor Singletary's playmaking capability. Mea Culpa. 8 4
Chandler#81
My mea culpa, I didn’t venture into that Hell hole. It’s never been my intention to jump into a GDT and start bootin’ jag offs, but it becomes necessary, even though we all understand the Jekyll & Hyde, frenetic emotions during the 16 hours per year the Bills take over our psyche. So I’ll just wait for reports.

billsfan1959
No mea culpa here - but I like the resurrection of this. I thought it would be a tough game to win and it was. I make it a point not to post anything until the game is over and I have a chance to evaluate it in total. If I underestimated anything, it was the level of idocy people can reach when emotional. You would think nothing would surprise me after years of being on this forum; however, each game day thread, some posters rise to the challenge.... 2 1
NoHuddleKelly12
For letting the thought cross my mind that I needed to start composing an "I guess you were right @ScottLaw about the Jets" post around halftime yesterday, when I should've just rested secure in the knowledge that no, nothing to be concerned about here whatsoever! Mea Culpa. 2

So true, particularly during games when things might not be going quite right. It’s amazng how some think the second half of games will play out exactly like the first. It never happens that way.

I did not expect the offense to generate any points after going down 16-0. I thought the D would continue to play well, but didn't see any positive plays coming from Allen. However, Allen wore out Mosley by continually throwing the ball to him, and alas, he couldn't handle it. Mosely goes out, Bills come back. Low Positive
I gave up on the team and season at halftime. I didn't post anything in the GDT, but I sure as heck said a lot to my TV before turning it off and leaving the house. The turnovers just drove me nuts, especially the one that got called back to the unrelated defensive holding penalty. How can you let a safety bait you into that throw? I'm still mad about it. FWIW, I dislike social media and message board hot takes because Internet culture doesn't allow you to walk back anything.

dollars 2 donuts
No mea culpa, no mea culpa, and then a mea culpa. My brother-in-law and I both agreed that down 16-0 if they scored something on this drive, anything, then they would have a chance. They did, 16-3. Down 16-3 I then said they would come back and take the lead, 17-16, late in the game...no mea culpa there. However, immediately afterwards I also said that the jets would burn away the rest of the clock after we took the lead, get in to field goal range and then kick a field goal for the 19-17 win. Thank you, new Buffalo Bills, for proving me wrong! Edited September 9, 2019 by dollars 2 donuts 1 1

Albany,n.y.
I regret that I didn't go to the casino Saturday night & bet what I wanted to: Bills on the money line & the under. When it was 16-0 I was feeling good for not betting the game in a game I thought was too close to call, but disappointed that I didn't bet the under. My plan all along was to save my $ for an easier game week 2 vs NYG, since the preseason lines had the Giants -1.5 (I don't think I could have bet that). When I saw Bills at less than a field goal vs the Giants (current line Bills -2.5) I rushed over to the casino, 22 miles from home & got the bet in on the Bills this morning. Buddy Hix
My GDT mea culpa would be calling Daboll a joke after the consecutive QB sneaks. I still think those calls are simply horrible decisions and question the lack of early touches for Singletary/Gore but I definitely overreacted. I still don't think calling for Barkley was an overreaction. Allen moved the ball well early but had some bad luck and ball security issues. The hero ball throw was bad and came when I felt the team still had an outside chance at coming back because the D was so good and I wanted the best option in at QB to go after the win. In hindsight I am glad that Allen bounced back from a very tough outing and finished really strong but calling for Barkley doesn't seem like an error to me. entropyrules
After that awful deflection by Beasley and the intercept for a TD I looked at my wife and said they simply find new ways to do "Billsy" things and ranted on line for a half hour. Went outside to work, came back in mid quarter watched that challenge by McD to overturn the Jets TD only to see them score again two plays later. At that point I figured it was hopeless and stopped ranting and thought long and hard about harvesting (a bit early) some of my local crop to help kill the pain. Then they stopped being Billsy and took over that fourth qtr. So I spared my lungs and got to celebrate a Bill's victory against a division opponent on the road.
