You don't think she would have texted a "how could you do this" or "you sonofabitch" type of message if she "really" thought it was him? I still say set up. If Shady really did orchestrate the incident he's got ice water in his veins. Good point.

Jerome007
Hard to follow it all, but it's looking much better for Shady than when news come out, especially with the White Knight Lynch Mob out in full force on social media and even in here. Anyway, let's wait for facts and a real investigation! If nothing is found on McCoy, I can't see why the NFL would punish him in any way. It's a case where he is involved or not all, no in betweens. I'd rather be having this discussion about a player I despise. From what I've heard, the hearing was already postponed until August. It's not clear. And re-reading Cordon's description of the attacker (“He sounded … I don’t know, he was a little guy") makes me think she's saying the perp was young, and she probably would know her son's voice, so it could have been a friend of his. If you were not entertained, you wouldn't be posting or responding to posts. What else are we here for?

The nfl would do its own investigation to determine punishment .... if they did decide to suspend according to the personal conduct policy (assuming there aren’t criminal findings) they would need so present their findings as to why (as they did with Zeke). It typically takes a very long time and I actually don’t think he would be placed on the exempt list given the nature of what we know now.

Someone needs to define what the conduct actually is that violated NFL policy. If the NFL tried to put him on the exempt list without an ounce of evidence, they would get sued. Thus far, there is nothing but an Instagram allegation that was retracted, restated, and then retracted again. That, quite frankly, isn't evidence. Tell me that they have the guy in custody that did the robbery and you could make a compelling argument that there's "facts" that could make that happen. Until then, it's no more proof than saying that McCoy is actually Princess Ariel from Frozen. I see your baseless statement and raise you an eye roll. LOL. Quote Here’s what the NFL Player Personnel Policy Manual says: The Exempt List is a special player status available to clubs only in unusual circumstances. The List includes those players who have been declared by the Commissioner to be temporarily exempt from counting within the Active List limit. Only the Commissioner has the authority to place a player on the Exempt List; clubs have no such authority, and no exemption, regardless of circumstances, is automatic. The Commissioner also has the authority to determine in advance whether a player’s time on the Exempt List will be finite or will continue until the Commissioner deems the exemption should be lifted and the player returned to the Active List. Doc
They can't put Shady on any list because there is no evidence he did anything (at present). Why is this so hard to understand? If the NFL started suspending people for every allegation, there would be almost no one left to play games.
BigBuff423
These are the kinds of issues that make me think with the next CBA there will be a stoppage of play / strike. The lack of revenue sharing and these nebulous disciplinary proceedings with virtually few checks and balances for the Commissioner says that it will take a virtual overhaul of the financial system and the conduct policy to make continued NFL play viable. Being a Bills fan I'm sure my opinion is somewhat biased, but I don't get the "Horrific Woman Beater Vibe" from Shady. I pray he didn't do that to her, but if it comes out that he did actually do that to her, I'm all for both the NFL AND the law throwing down the gauntlet on him. Any man that could do that to a female deserves to have his ass thrown into the Falls, er, excuse me, jail. As a 9 year old kid, I had to watch my mother get beaten on, and do nothing...it took a concussion, three broken ribs and a fractured skull before she had the strength to take me and my little sister and finally leave. I have a special disdain and hatred for men who beat on women. Again, my first instinct is that Lesean is the victim of a money-hungry, vindictive female. Here's to hoping that's the case, and not that our starting RB did this...
