Royale with Cheese
Loved the old man. Also not surprised because of how slow he moves....I knew he wasn't completely healthy and probably partied hard in his younger years. I'm a little shocked he was only 77....he moved like a 91 year old.

apuszczalowski
Just now, Canadian Bills Fan said: Was he there? No, none of them were. We were there probably around 10-11 am on a Tuesday in November in 2012. They had just opened the shop for the day a little before we got there I think. It was weird being I there, looks bigger on TV. I heard they were doing tours in Vegas where they would take you to a few of the History network TV show locations and you would usually get to meet some of the stars. My wife knew someone that did it and said Rick from the American Restoration show was one of the nicest guys you would meet. The Pawn stars guys were alright. I wish I would have been in Vegas now, would love to see Counts Customs and Danny's collection.

Dr. Who
I love the episode where Chumlee buys some exotic coffee for the Old Man that apparently involved being proceesed through the digestive system of a monkey. The Old Man loved it. RIP Old Fella.
Marv's Neighbor
He seemed to like his junk food. Not saying that's bad, but Rick seemed to watch what the Old Man was eating, while he was "at work." RIP!

Happy
The old man was ok; he was at his best when he was supported by Chumlee or Rick. People watch the show to see what Chumlee says/does. There were some funny scenes with Chumlee and the old man. What I'll remember about the old man is he seemed to low-ball an offer, saying "top of the line." Side question: is it just me or is the book lady, Rebecca, hot?

Uncle Joe
With all due respect I did get a chuckle out of this comment. "I like this story but I’m skeptical. Happy
^^^ Ouch. 77 is "Top of the line." RIP Old Man. He took a big chance and moved his family out to LV to make a fresh start years before the Gold and Pawn Shop. It worked out well.

I have had my eye on her for a number of years (LMAO) and did some google searching on her not that long ago, just to see who she is, etc. She is cute, smart, and into books. She's a home run. Something else I have consistently noticed for years...they always show a few transitional "filler" shots basically showing shoppers in the store milling around, etc., as they set up the next segment. There is almost always a hot chick in the background; they have to be selecting that random footage on that basis... Next time you watch, play "spot the hottie in the background milling around in front of a counter." You'll see one!

I didn't know about the old man losing a million in real estate back in the 80's. Very good to bounce back after that investing 10,000 in the pawn shop. Fadingpain
I enjoyed the Old Man's brutally direct and honest way he addressed Chum-lee. "Damn't Chumlee" followed by something. "Dammit Chumlee, don't be a dummy." "Dammit Chumlee, put that down before you break it." Dammit Chumlee, leave that alone." Etc.
