I have to say I thought Lauletta looked like the best qb at the Senior bowl.  But then, so did EJ Manuel.

Even if he did he never make it to the Bills pick as the Pats have the 5th pick in the second round and would take him then.

Fox News is reporting that DNA testing, now routine for NFL prospects, has revealed that Kyle Lauletta is actually Nate Peterman's long lost twin. Apparently, they were separated at birth due to a monumental maternity ward snafu.

there are a lot of characteristics that go into talent. not all of which are physical.

The problem with this is one twin is always good and one is bad. This would mean that if we drafted Lauletta he would throw 5 TD's in his 1st game.

Obviously. It's nice to have a combination of physical and mental characteristics that project to success at the NFL level instead of hoping and praying one of these 2nd or 3rd tier prospects pans out against the odds.

I would be totally fine with Lauletta in the second.  The price to move up is getting insane.  If we do it we will look back in 2 or 3 years as huge mistake.  We will have so many holes and used up too many picks this year and some next.

Damn, I forgot. This is the last year for the Draft and UFA. The Bills will not be able to add anything ever again.

There's definitely some similarities between Lauletta and Jimmy, but the sentence about his resume being equal to Jimmy isn't really accurate. Lauletta was awesome at Richmond, but Jimmy threw for over 5,000 yards and 50 TDs his senior year.

I don't believe he is. I see a disparity in talent, technique, and decision making between the two.  He didn't stand out in the games that I watched.

I keep going back to the throw-away comment that Beane made at the Combine, when he said that there were "6 -- maybe 7" QBs who would go in the first round. Obviously he was talking about the Big 4, Rudolph and Jackson as the 6. I wonder if Lauletta was "maybe 7".

I've heard Lauletta in a couple of interviews. Kid seems to have a real good head on his shoulders w/ great football knowledge. I hear his arm isn't the strongest though. That scares me a bit, but from what I've heard from this kid...he's a leader. He had me sold, for what that's worth (nothing).

When he was throwing at the combine one of the announcers actually mentioned that you can't afford to overlook a lack of adequate arm strength, a lesson he learned from evaluating Nate Peterman.

I was just commenting on his arm strength.  I think even a highlight video shows his arm is good enough to hit an open receiver.

Great article, No way CAM or Manziel could make those calls. Sounds like this kid is a young Brady. If Bills like him than grab him with a 2nd round pick, don't wait. I have said from the beginning I would rather draft Falk and Lauletta to compete with McCarron and Peterman and may the best man win. You can then use 1st round pics to beef up team. Your going to give up allot to get Baker or Allen and they may not end up any better than those 4 players on your team. Not worth the risk.

that's exactly the Lauletta concern - will he develop the arm strength/zip on the ball to make the throws he's making in college without ramping up the INTs against NFL DBs?

His velocity looks fine on the short and intermediate passes IMO. The deep ball is a struggle for him though; he definitely struggles to physically get it down the field and he has to put a lot of air under it to have a chance at getting there. I think he throws with more velocity on the 20 and under yard passes than a guy like Mason Rudolph does but like I said, the deep ball is a serious issue for him.
