  1. Dump a few packets of Horsey Sauce on those and PERFECTION!!
  2. If you don't eat In n Out's fries in the first minute, just toss 'em out. They're trash. I don't know why Wendy's, BK, Carls's Jr / Hardies, Jack in the Box, etc...keep changing their fries. For the most part, they've gone from pretty good to garbage. Meanwhile, McDonalds doesn't change a dang thing and remains the top dog. I realize they're all chasing McD's, but in the meantime they're falling farther behind.
  3. It goes back a couple of years. Brooks was extremely vocal about Bryson's slow play and it's morphed from there. Brooks has also accused Bryson of taking steroids. Brooks is definitely more vocal (publicly)between the two. I originally thought Brooks was a jerk for calling out Bryson. Bryson's act has grown tiring and I'm not much of a Brooks fan. He has his own quirks that I find annoying (only seemingly trying to win majors and not caring about the lesser tournaments). But this is something golf needs...a good rivalry between two top players.
  4. Look for someone w/ a Pittsburgh connection. Grodin was born in Pittsburgh, Stennett played in Pittsburgh. Betty may be safe.
  5. Yeah, it'd be the 7th oldest park in MLB Fenway - 1912 Wrigley - 1914 Dodger Stadium - 1962 Angel Stadium - 1966 Oakland Coli - 1966 Kauffman - 1973 --Sahlen - 1988
  6. A's brass is touring LV for potential sites for a new ballpark. Someone better clue them in about Buffalo before it's too late 😆 --- This sucks. https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/baseball/oakland-as-officials-plan-to-tour-las-vegas-next-week-2356612/
  7. They tried to move to San Jose about a decade ago (maybe more). The Giants squashed that, claiming it was their territory...even though they gave it up when they built their ballpark in SF. Exactly. When this is public, there is no need to worry. This is just Fisher & MLB putting pressure (publicly) on the Oakland city managers.
  8. As a lifelong A's fan and pre-covid season ticket holder ... I'd hate it. I don't think the A's are going anywhere. Fisher is the worst owner in sports. He's one of the richest owners: worth $3 Billion, but constantly cries poor. Not sure why he even continues to own the team. This is just a ploy to get Oakland behind the team. They already have the votes w/ the city council to continue (w/ the mayor breaking the tie). It just sucks this has dragged on forever. If they do move anywhere...it will be Vegas. BUT if they did move to Buffalo (won't happen), I'd be happy. All my teams (with the exception of the Dubs) would be in one location. It'll hasten my second home in Buffalo push w/ the wife.
  9. Been to a few rooftop pools. Every time, I often wonder ... what if?
  10. they kind of had to bring AJ along slowly due to the situation. No OTA's, training camp was a wash, no preseason games. He wasn't ready to play NFL football early on. He did come on at the end though after he got a feel for the game. We'll see how this off season goes. That'll go a long way in determining Rousseau's progress. If he's allowed to learn from the players mentioned and get some decent hands on coaching early on. He might be a quick learner if the past is any indicator.
  11. I'll second the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site. In past visits, driven by it 100's of times. Finally visited on a recent visit. Excellent tour. *Fort Niagara (another 2nd) was a good visit (tie it in w/ a Falls visit since they're somewhat close by) ... but you'll be close by. *Letchworth State Park. Amazing views * Forest Lawn cemetery - a lot of Buffalo history * This one is dependent on COVID, but a boat tour to Silo City. We did this a couple summers ago, quite memorable. * Go wine tasting...somewhere *Sunset on Lake Erie *City Hall observation deck (covid?) *Food? Mulberry Italian Ristorante in Lackawanna is a must for us (reservation suggested), Gabriel's Gate (wings), a second for Charlie the Butchers, BreadHive or Five Points Bakery.
  12. How has this not been listed ... would have posted sooner, but I was stoned and I missed it.
  13. I did the exact same thing for my last car. I found a website that had a forum showing what people paid for the vehicle I was looking for (Subaru Outback) and the dealerships they purchased from. I emailed those two dealerships offering excellent pricing and several others in Northern California. Nobody could come near their pricing (1000's less than dealer price...somehow). I then went to my broker friend, who I used to buy my prior cars. He didn't believe the price I was quoted, told me to send him the offer I received. He told me he couldn't find anything near those prices and to buy from them. I was really hoping he wouldn't say that...I hate dealing w/ dealerships & salesmen. Needless to say, I bit the bullet and bought from the dealership. Horrible experience, but I got a screaming deal. They were expecting me to buy all the additional BS they try and sell. I declined everything and the guy just yelled at me, saying why didn't I want to properly care for my new car. I did try this w/ another brand of vehicle I was considering. My local dealership refused to give me a quote and we went back and forth via email. Their loss. Long story short, I think it does pay off going this route...if the dealership is a willing partner.
  14. Thanks. I got my first shingles when COVID shots were first being administered. There might have been some concern about getting the two close together. I just noticed it's two weeks now. I think you have 6 mos to get the 2nd shot. You may have time...and you may have found that out today.
  15. Got a few things planned. Going to Vegas in a few weeks. In June we're going to Aruba (couldn't go last June). Then I have a couple trips up to Reno/Tahoe...one of which is a "work" trip, volunteering for the PGA Barracuda Championship. Another is a golf trip. Probably in the fall, at least one trip back to Buffalo to catch a Bills game (fingers crossed).
  16. That first shingles vax took me out for a few days. Just a general malaise. I'm still having issues w/ my upper left arm, a lingering pain in the area of the shot, that pops up occasionally. My 2nd Pfizer shot is Monday. I'm due at any time for my 2nd shingles shot, but was told it couldn't be w/in 3-4 weeks of getting a COVID vax, so I have to put that one off...but I'm more worried about my 2nd shingles vax than my 2nd Pfizer.
  17. We got our first shot at CVS (pfizer). Easy, showed up early. No problem, no line. Shot done w/in 5 minutes after entrance. Appt was easy to set up online. I don't hear too many problems w/ pfizer's 2nd shot (have ours in a week and a half). My SIL got her 2nd Moderna on Monday, she's still feeling the effects. She went to the ER last night, 104 temp and it wouldn't drop w/ OTC meds. She became dehydrated and needed two bags of IV fluids. I only hear of these side effects w/ Moderna. Anyone else have issues that took Moderna's 2nd shot? She's resting today, relatively fine. She's vaccinated. I hear you need to drink a lot of fluids. My wife just bought some liquid IV packets for us to be ready.
  18. If you count all the Poles buried at St Stanislaus Cemetery, it might be close 😆
  19. Biding my time ... I too, am too young. Everyone I know, seems to have received at least their first shot (somehow, someway). Who knows when I'll be eligible. Too many people in this damn state. My wife just became eligible due to a preexisting condition. I have my name on a few wait lists (in case people don't show). Meanwhile, I sit here w/ vax jealousy. I have a preference, but at this point, not sure it matters.
  20. Never been to BottleRock, over the hill from us in Napa .... Minus last year, it's been going on for a few years. It may be back in September (in the heat of fire season). TP a few months before his death...
  21. She's self centered. She posted that video as a dedication to her mother, but I don't recall seeing her mom in there...it was all about her. Nah
  22. Definitely into the paranormal. I've always had things happen around me. We used to live in a "haunted" house. We get back to WNY often, maybe someday. Maybe even for a visit (I see they have tours & investigations) w/o the overnight stay.
  23. I just saw this place on Discovery+ yesterday, on two different shows; Kindred Spirits & Most Terrifying. Very interesting.
  24. No responses? Yes, we had solar installed about a year and a half ago. Had a local company here in our area do the install. It was a smooth, easy experience. We had our work-up done when it was just my wife and I in the house. Soon after the install, my daughter and her BF moved in...kind of skewed the stats. I still don't feel the need to add more panels (they'll finally move out in the next couple of months and we'll be back to our normal usage). We're still happy. I didn't go for the battery back up, those things are crazy expensive. We could get a generator for a fraction of the cost if needed. With our PG&E raising rates on a continual basis, I'm happy we have solar.
