Unlike some years, there's not much to talk about now

There's really only one question in February 2018:   Who will be the Bills' starting QB in September?   That's it.   That question, of course, is a HUGE question, and there's all the draft analysis and all the free agent talk about that.

But for me, at least, there's nothing else.   We know who the GM is and will be, we know who the head coach is and, at least for now, there's not a lot of point in talking about them being great or terrible.   It's too early.

Yeah, there are going to be some moves on the coaching staff, but the big one's already happened (Daboll) and there's not much to say about him until we see the 2018 offense.

And yes, there are all those holes in the roster.   But really, all that's going to happen is the Bills are going to draft some guys and sign some free agents.   Some of us will like some of the guys the Bills get and some will be unhappy that they didn't get other guys.   In the end, it's going to be a decent collection of talent, and the Bills record won't turn on how good those guys are - it will turn on how well coached they are.

And on the QB.   So it's wait for the franchise deadline and free agency.   Then it's wait for the draft.   THEN we'll have plenty to talk about.

Truly there’s a bunch but there’s not as much soap opera gossip

Defensive line? Linebacker situation? Pass rush in general?

Wide receivers? Running back depth? Offensive line and whether we start 2018 with 3 new starters in the group?

Yes was going to say the same. There's much more to be interested in just besides QB, speaking for myself anyways. Curious about the Dline, what will happen there, will Kyle retire, what new guys will be brought in because that is definitely an area of need. And LB, loved MM and  will he be a starter next season. Need help at that position also. More than just QB to be talked about or interested in.

But I see what you mean, at least I think I do, is that nothing is really going on too much since Alex Smith and Jimmy Grop stuff was anounced. So maybe you mean it's just "slow" as of right now. But anyways.....

At this point there are a ton of questions, and no answers. I plan to start a new thread for every question I can think of (regardless of how ever many already exist on the topic). Then I can sit back and take fire!  That should keep me entertained for a while. :)

Does that mean that I can't argue with Kirby because there is a moratorium during this languid period of the offseason?  I don't care what you say if he says anything positive about Taylor and  continues to interminably talk about the cap I'm going to knife him in the gut. :D

I think

The most important thing is easily...
How is the new offense going to be designed? What will they do to improve all facets of Offense ?
and who will they bring in. Are the Coaching Staff in place?
I love Bills off Season.  Tis Season of Hope.

No. The Big Question is what i stated. If you answer my question ? That is the umbrella for all the Tyrod questions. which is why I win about what is most important.
You are the runner up so far .

Then let me ask the winner how good Peterman will do as the starting QB ??

Kyle Williams decision to return or retire is definitely something that will be a big story line IMO.

As is is what happens with Eric Wood and whether or not the Bills try to go after any of his signing bonus.

I am very interested to see how they choose to fill holes, too (and how aggressively they do so).

There's still plenty to talk about. But like you said, just not as much drama, which is great.

Honestly, I'd much prefer not to have to talk about head coach, DC, OC (etc) candidates for a long time, unless a coordinator leaves because he's had so much success here that he gets a HC shot.

There's plenty of other stuff to talk about.  The new OC.  Drafting and signing FAs to other positions.  If Leslie get the Indy gig, what do we do there?  TO to HOF.  Zay's Mom. etc  ...

But all anybody WANTS to talk about is QB.

It's gonna be a long 3 months until the draft and then the complaining about who we did or didn't draft for QB takes over ...

You may have misunderstood my effort.
if we knew what Daboll had in mind to run scheme wise , we would better know his thoughts about tyrod.
we might know how is going to fix the O line play. Or how he feels about the WR crew. Coaching and players.
How he feels about Peterman as back up long term to somebody.
Daboll is bringing back some college ball to the NFL. But I very look forward to what Bills do this offseason to build for the next step with  McBeanes !

Just busting ?

Can’t wait for the draft.   It will be somewhat telling as to what some of the plans for the offense will be.

I like the quiet, it's a lot better than debating head coaches and patiently waiting for the incumbent regime to be shown the door.

I think the issue is that the rest of our offseason depends on who we target at quarterback. If we land Cousins, free agency is all but over and we can't afford to land any splash players. We also probably won't move up in the draft and can check off that box.

If we get a bridge qb like Bradford, now we can afford one or two bigger names in FA, and the trade up scenarios will go crazy. There's simply too many questions right now to really speculate, we will just have to be patient.

Yep. for sure. Lot of conjecture there too from pundits and us here.
I love this stuff. Looking forward to seeing what they are envisioning and how they go about attaining that goal (s)

next year perhaps Bills wind them down.

This is the most immediately pressing question to me as well.

I was truly expecting there to be changes on the offensive coaching staff announced about now.

I know most speak of Castillo. But WRs Coach QB Coach etc ?

if Frazier leaves and I think he might. That might be more dramatic in regard to consistency/continuity of Coaching method.
prefer he stays another year (Mrs Pegula ? )

TT is going to be the qb. The lame playoffs killed any chance of improving, now we get to watch the rise of the jets.

I am very domesticated. I don't want to get the sheets messed up. Also, I want it to be a personal message with me looking into his panicked  eyes as I thrust forward.
