LabattBlue
It would be different if both were playing at home at the same time. Instead both are on the road. Also, it is not like it is two "can't miss" games. The Sabres are playing there 16th of 82 games against a fairly irrelevant Florida team.
Fadingpain
I can't recall this ever happening before except the maybe the playoffs. You think that two multi-billion dollar organizations could do a conflict check. This happens more often than you would think, usually when the Sabres play a somewhat rare Sunday game. There is usually some overlap between the two, though it depends obviously on when the Sabres game is scheduled and if the Bills game is early or late. Â In Big League cities this happens all the time.
Buffalo_Stampede
Its happened many times. Â In todays world this isnt a problem, many ways to watch both. Sabres game will be entering the 3rd period when the Bills kick off. Plus there are 82 Sabres games, 16 Bills. Â Not really a dilemma.

I'll be DVR-ing the Sabres and watching Bills live with participation here at this website and listening to GR-55.  it's going to be tough to avoid Sabre sinformation tonight. zonabb
The Sabres? Who are they? New NFL expansion team perhaps? I think the team that will go from dead last to the playoffs before the Bills go to the playoffs from whatever their bottom-out position was. Just sayin.  Or the team whose owner bought a floundering tire fire in Orchard Park that hasn't seen the playoffs since its emerging superstar was, what, 3? Luckily its not an important Sabres game! If you are that concerned about it, just do it old school...just watch the Bills game, on your tv...skip the in-game chat stuff, and DVR the Sabres game to watch afterwards. As the Bills game is only on the NFL Network, they will not give you hockey scores during the course of the evening...your only spoiler possibility (very remote) is that Phil Simms (or whoever is doing the game tonight) mentions the Sabres game...very, very unlikely to happen. There's enough stoppages in football to keep an eye on both. Of course now that the Sabres are winning a little bit and I care now, I'll be a drunken nervous wreck for a few hours this evening.   Anyone dogging the sabres hasn't watched Eichel and the new team play yet. Seasons1992
The good news is if this game goes poorly, we always have Jack to turn to.  Having watched him for the first time on Tuesday night against the Lightning, I really liked what I saw. Command during stoppages in play, amazing puck skills, ALWAYS having the puck. Can't wait for the next 10 years with him. And Chad Johnson is Jacque Cloutier 2.0!

That was Eichel's best game as a pro so far. He was all of the place, calm with the puck, and was making defenders look slow. Even in just the 12 games or so you can see he's already getting more comfortable on the ice and gaining chemistry with the team. It's fun to watch their transformation from no chemistry and unfamiliar with the system to a real hockey team.
