Some of you guys know that I am a season ticket holder that now lives in Miami. I did not get a chance to go to the home opener.

Neverthless, I have made arrangements to fly up to Buffalo to attend the Sabres home opener and the Bills game against the Patriots (which will be the first game with the Pegulas as owners).

I anticipate that weekend will be a great time to visit Buffalo for all of you out-of-town guys. It should be a great celebration - especially if we beat the Pats.

We just had our Sabres ticket draft tonight of our season tickets. I didn't realize that the Sabres have an afternoon game at 3PM on Columbus Day October 13th............So, people coming in from out of town might want to stay an extra day, esp. if they have off, and leave Monday night.

There are people who believe the world is flat. You will never get unanimity from a public forum. Don't worry about the fringe element---it will always exist. Facts will never be a factor in changing their iron-clad views. Their door is not only closed but it has multiple locks and chains preventing the real world to intrude on their fantasy.

Wow, very well said.

Yep, I'm doing this. In fact, I've got a wedding to attend in Akron, OH on Saturday the 11th, so I'll need to man up and leave at 4am or 5am to drive the rental car up to Orchard Park in time to tailgate.

Does anyone know if Pegula can own the Sabres and Bills at the same time?

Been asked and answered, Tom...only if he divests himself of all indoor lacrosse interests and hires someone with at least three vowels in his last name to run the ticket office.

Trump Soho Heads to Foreclosure Due to Unsellable Condos. Trump doesn't seem to concerned with all of this, telling the Journal that the foreclosure is "a situation between the lender and the owner," and said that they will continue to manage the hotel, which "is doing extremely well."

Billionaire Terry Pegula divests ownership interest in @5StarAthletes, clears way for #Bills purchase. http://sports.yahoo....l.html …

In that article it says that Todd France will regain full ownership and run the agency. It also quotes France and implies that he is very much staying on. That, of course, could change. But it sounds as if France may not be joining the Bills any time soon in a front office position. Of course, that could still happen after this season and maybe they didn't want to upset the apple cart on either company, until the dust settles.

As owner of Five Star, which is currently headed by veteran agent Todd France, the firm represented over 50 NFL players including Pro Bowlers Vernon Davis, Demaryius Thomas and Aqib Talib. France has retaken full ownership and control of the firm, a source familiar with the transaction indicated.

"Due to our successful bid for the Buffalo Bills football franchise, we were compelled by NFL rules to divest our interest in 5 Star Athlete Management," the Pegulas said in a statement emailed to Yahoo Sports. "We are very confident that Todd will continue to work diligently and zealously on behalf of his clients. We want to thank Todd for the partnership and thank him and his staff for their hard work and support during our time with them."

I'd be surprised if the Bills can offer France a position that can top owning his own agency. But I've been surprised before.
