Which is why Weird Al's version was so hilarious to me. Â So, I was watching the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Joan Jett doing the lead singing with the two remaining members. I put the closed caption on to see the words. Â Holy crap - I was better off not knowing them. They make ZERO sense! Â The tune is good, though. Â That Nada Surf song is just funny to me and I was in the middle of HS at the time so it has nostalgia value. Certainly not a Zeppelin level of talent in the group though, that's for sure. Â "Change" is one of my top 5 all time favorites especially in retrospect with what he was dealing with when he wrote it and his subsequent years of battling substance abuse.
