Rd 2, Pick 33: WR Keon Coleman, Florida State

Give him a chance. This was the guy Josh Allen begged for. He got his receiver. -
Finally got a chance to rewatch the game. I am fairly certain this was by far the most passive defensive game plan that Spags has put together for the Chiefs vs Allen. In the 2020 AFC championship, he brought a bunch of pressure. He's done the same in many of the matchups afterward with a variety of creative and well-timed blitzes. This time, basically nothing. In 39 pass plays, the Chiefs barely ever pressured Allen and many times it was by design. D-Linemen were occasionally not even rushing and just trying to bat the ball down at the LOS. KC kept taking away the deep and intermediate routes and testing Josh's discipline to remain patient. Despite running just 44 plays (kneel downs not included), the Chiefs had eight 20+ yard plays. In 78 plays, the Bills had zero. The game plan worked but was technically a failure. The Bills had three chances to hit on a deep ball but misfired on all of them. There was the Diggs pass deep downfield isolated on a safety. There was Shakir in the end zone. There was the throw downfield to Sherfield that was nearly caught. Catches on any of those three could have swung the game in Buffalo's favor. Obviously a loss is a loss, but Spags' apparent plan was to patiently wait for Josh to get impatient and hand them a game-altering turnover and he didn't give them one.

Live 2024 NFL Draft thread - Round 1 (Do NOT tip the Bills pick)

Chop Robinson is a real “get stiff armed by Josh Allen” sounding name -
And he did that without Josh Allen as his QB.

Other than Josh Allen, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
-
He may screw up sometimes, but he puts his heart and soul into every game and when the game is on the line, he shines! That 3rd and 13 he got to extend the drive …. NO other quarterback is getting that. I will forever ride or die with Josh Allen. I don’t want ANYONE else. I wouldn’t trade him for Mahomes, Burrow, Rodgers and all of the gold in the world.

So Josh Allen is worth 2 wins compared to Kyle Allen?

Rd 2, Pick 33: WR Keon Coleman, Florida State

I felt that way too for sure. I'm OK with it and hope he is the Josh Allen of WR's effective immediately 😎 -
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been fined $10,927 for taunting during his team’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Allen pointed at a Bengals player as he was punching in a rushing touchdown to tie the score in the first quarter. He was hit with a 15-yard penalty for the incident. The signal-caller went 26-for-38 with 258 yards, a touchdown and an interception through the air while carrying the ball eight times for 44 yards. Cincinnati ultimately won the game by a score of 24-18. Allen’s fine is peculiar, considering other players received lesser penalties for unnecessary roughness fouls. The fact that he was fined more for pointing at someone than other players were for plays that could have caused injury is certainly strange, to say the least. Then again, the NFL has been widely criticized for quite some time now for the way it hands out penalties and fines, so the weird variance shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bills-josh-allen-fined-for-taunting-during-bengals-loss/ar-AA1jMnwe?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=72356b63b82c4d3a8525dd5d101d9ca6&ei=47 Such a joke

Josh Allen is the great equalizer many times. We are still winning the AFC East.

Ladd McConkey would be unstoppable with Josh Allen. Coleman is stoppable. Bad pick Beane.

I agree…but I felt that way about Josh Allen and was wayyy wrong. So… -
all you guys must know more about WR than Josh Allen
-
It beats trading Josh Allen, I’ll say that for ya.

How these individual WR targets will perform are all interesting micro-takes but the question as a whole is can this Joe Brady offense be better with these players without having to use Josh Allen as a battering ram again. For all the hype about how well Shakir played down the stretch, Josh Allen was not that good passing the ball during that time. Probably his worst half season stretch since 2019, statistically.

No doubt that his shoulder is hurting. The hail Mary a couple weeks ago. Last night to Diggs. Seems like a lot of sidearm throws. Maybe off-season surgery like Purdy had. Same injury I believe. Just push through it until after the Super Bowl.

If I were Pegula, or Josh Allen, I'd be pounding the table for Aiyuk or Justin Jefferson.

This Will Be The Make Or Break Year For This Regime
NeverOutNick replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
And this is the problem. They shouldn’t be given a free pass this year for the mess they created and they still have Josh Allen. -
Comes in late in the game and manages to hold onto the lead to keep the Raiders from coming back to beat the Bills? Surely he should be considered for Player Of The Game.
