Bills played their stinker of the year.  I’d bet my life they don’t have three turnovers in a game the rest of the year.  
 

this was the Houston game from last year.  Sucks, but no team is perfect

 

 

And we played a team that treated this like their Superbowl who had a WR that was determined to make a statement against his old team..

 

And it still took all those turnovers and penalties to win with a last second field goal

The offence was earth shattering tonight..team looked a bit disjointed..

 

The bigger issue is the same issue that has cost us in the playoffs vs the Chiefs time and time again..overall lack of team speed and that falls solely on the shoulders of McBeane.

 

How many times have we watched the bills get pressure on mahomes..or even Jalen hurts in the reg season matchup where we couldn't stop them..our defence gets any sort of pressure the qb scrambles and our defenders are grasping at air or making the tackle a beat too late.. Maye isn't prime mike vick or Lamar when the plays are there we have to make them. The team has drafted heavy on defence multiple drafts for this regime and it feels like our weaknesses have not been addressed. 

 

Our corners are slow..our defensive ends are slow..our pursuit is slow it's a revolving door of the same issue

I agree, even teams like the great KC lose a few tough divisional games each years. However, I also understand why these loses cause such drama. We don’t have a Lombardi and you see the same mistakes repeated. The game reminded me of our playoffs loses. Once again we even find ourselves with zero timeouts in the final possession. I think McD is a very good coach, but he doesnt seem to learn or evolve.

For the past 4 weeks, there have been several posts on here where people have been shouted down for expressing concerns or criticisms for what this team quite obviously lacks. All we have heard is but they are 4-0, just relax . Well sorry the defense is terrible, it lacks play makers and ball hawks, it pressures with no or few sacks, the dbs cannot cover receivers to save their lives and the zone schemes are so soft that a high school QB could hit the receivers. Once again we made a young QB look poised and veteran with his passes and ad libbing. It appears that Babich running McD's vanilla defense does absolutely nothing to confuse opposing Qbs with defensive schemes or formations. On offense we cant throw a deep ball to save ourselves and just when we are getting some momentum running, Brady decides a low percentage play would be just the ticket .  Once again tonight we were blitzed silly by an opposing defense. We should have been drawing them in with repeated bubble screens like we did with Hawes the last game and burning them repeatedly but Brady makes no adjustment for that. Josh got beat up tonight because of all the pressure and hits that he took and that is completely on Brady not countering the blitzing. In addition to both units performing poorly the amount of penalties from a supposedly disciplined team was completely unacceptable. I get that many were ticky tack from Mr Universe Shawn Hochuli and Co but the sloppiness was ridiculous. 2 illegal formation penalties? How does that happen even once? Just bad coaching and preparation.

I'm sorry, but these aren't mutually exclusive. The first half of football looked corrupt. The bills were down 10 before they started to fix the balance sheet. 

 

We played poorly. The pats* played well. The refs absolutely had it out for us for at least a half. All true imo.

Allen doesn't have the guy. 

 

How many times tonight was he absolutely incredible evading defenders & buying time in the pocket?  And STILL when he threw it, it was to a guy who was completely covered.

 

Everyone is raving about Maye - and he earned it tonight - but his throws were often to guys who were wide, wide open.

 

That's the difference in a game like this. If we had even one guy who could separate, it's probably a comfy win.

They've been exposed the first 4 games also.
 

People who just looked at their 4-0 record and pointed to 30 plus points per game,  just didn't want to believe there were massive flaws in this team

Undefeated is not the problem...it's losing games they should win, at home. Its why we never get the 1 seed. Always a game away.

Analytics doesn't take into account what we all knew, which was that the defense wouldn't be able to stop the other team from scoring...which they obviously did

Most of those penalties and turnovers were the result of horrible playcalling where players were put in bad positions.

Yep. I don't think we had a single legit penalty all night. Meanwhile Shakir is getting tackled before the ball gets to him and the officials basically hand the game to the Pats with no call.

This. 23 points is not a disastrous number of points for a NFL team to concede. The issue is the Bills only scored 20.

1st down: WR screen. Shakir drops it.

 

2nd down: Every single WR runs a route that is 10+ yards downfield. In fact, every WR is in the endzone when Coleman goes to catch the ball. Cook is the only person open short and it would have been for a 3 yard catch (and he would have been wrecked by the LB immediately).

 

3rd down: No one is open past the sticks. You wanted Allen to throw a 2 yard pass to Shavers, which would have given us 4th and 8?

 

WTF are you watching?

 

i would go Back and watch to argue with you, but I can’t put myself through that again.
