skibum Posted Wednesday at 03:30 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:30 PM It's just way too early to say. Only 4/17ths through the season, a lot can still happen. Quote
Success Posted Wednesday at 03:32 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:32 PM No - they'll be there. The AFC is not strong. They're still a great team. Quote
Heavy Kevi Posted Wednesday at 03:35 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:35 PM I'd be shocked if they miss the playoffs, unless Lamar misses a big chunk of the season. I fully expect them to still take that division. Out of contention for the 1 seed? Yeah I'd say that's probably true though. It's a 3 team race right now with Buffalo, KC, and LAC (though gun to my head id say KC still wins that division too) Quote
Doc Brown Posted Wednesday at 03:42 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:42 PM I think they find a way to go 1-1 going into the bye and Lamar can certainly finish an 8-3 record to get in at ten wins. That might even win the division. Even if they go 0-2 into the bye, I still think they have the horses to go 9-2 down the stretch but that's assuming they get a lot healthier. Quote

Rush isn't a bad backup with a week of prep - his teams are 9-5 when he starts. He takes care of the ball, and doesn't take a lot of sacks. If he was playing with the Ravens defense of old then they'd have a good chance to win but the current Ravens defense is Bills post season bad. 1 Quote

It looks tough especially if Lamar will miss games. Steelers look well balanced team with Rodger’s under center. And they have the NFL’s best defensive player (sorry Myles) 13 minutes ago, Success said: No - they'll be there. The AFC is not strong. They're still a great team. Current strong teams East - bills west - chargers, chiefs south - colts niorth - Steelers Broncos, patriots and Jax are starting to play well. it is going to be tough for the Ravens if they miss starters 1 Quote

Now they might be without their starting QB. This will be a struggle for them to make the playoffs. No I agree especially if they are 1-5 as that's a tough hole to climb out of. But they are so talented. Their defence also sucked the first half of last year and they turned it around big time. Still a ton of football to be played and assuming they get their guys back after the bye, I would definitely still bet on them to make the playoffs Edited Wednesday at 03:51 PM by BillsFan130 1 Quote
QCity Posted Wednesday at 03:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:59 PM They are still the favorites to win their division outright by every sportsbook so I would say no, there is not a strong chance of them missing the playoffs. 1 Quote
ChronicAndKnuckles Posted Wednesday at 03:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:59 PM It’s impossible to answer this question without knowing the availability of Lamar Jackson. I will revisit this thread with a more clear answer when that information is revealed. Quote

Then the Bills, as the #1 seed, might still have to beat them and KC to reach the Super Bowl. Not if KC is the 2 seed. Quote

Yeah - the texans offense hasn't been lighting the world on fire and they can't run the ball. I don't like the ravens chances, but Houston isn't playing good football on offense either. 1 1 Quote
PetermansRedemption Posted Wednesday at 04:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:18 PM With reports being Lamar could miss 2-3 weeks, they could be 1-6 by the time he returns. That’s too big a hole for any team to climb out of. They would need to win 8 of their final 10 just to make it to 9-8. 1 Quote
Bruffalo Posted Wednesday at 04:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:18 PM If Jackson misses the next 2-3 games and they lose all then that'll be a hard hole to get out from. I don't think that'll happen though. Quote
BuffaloMatt Posted Wednesday at 04:27 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:27 PM Shhhh. . . . don't touch the money. Quote
gonzo1105 Posted Wednesday at 04:28 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:28 PM It’s really dependent on if the Steelers can be good enough and how long it will take for their guys to get healthy. The Bengals aren’t going anywhere and the Browns could be a dangerous team in a one off just because they have an elite defense but until they get above average QB play they aren’t a contender. I think the Bills are going to be the only AFC East team and the 3 other division winners. A 2nd team from the AFC West is getting in. The question is can they get a 3rd like last year in the Broncos . I believe they can and can a 2nd AFC South team maintain their pace (Colts/Jags) or have the Texans get back into it. This game is huge for WC implications this week between the Texans/Ravens if either of these teams id going to get back into it 1 Quote
zow2 Posted Wednesday at 04:40 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:40 PM Must be nice for the Texans and Rams to go into Baltimore's stadium and not have to play Lamar. What a gift for them. Quote
TheBrownBear Posted Wednesday at 04:47 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:47 PM I think they still win 10 games minimum and that will win them that division. Quote
Allen2Moulds Posted Wednesday at 04:49 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:49 PM Before the Lamar injury, even at 1-3, there was very little chance they would miss, gven their upcoming schedule. But now, I don't see beating HOU or the Rams. As bad as Houston has been on offense. Their defense is legit. They only have to play mediocre at best. With all of Baltimore's defensive struggles and injuries, I think they're done. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted Wednesday at 04:50 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:50 PM They have to get one of these next two games before the bye. Steelers can get to 10-11 wins. Rest of the division is an absolute joke. 1-5 and getting to even 10-7 looks iffy. 2-4 with an easy back half and I think they can certainly rally. 1 Quote

Even if they go 1-5 to start, 10-7 will still get them in the playoffs which I think they will ultimately do Yeah barring an injury to Lamar I just dont see them missing the playoffs especially now with Burrow down... their division is not a gauntlet...
