They're using the heated snow from the roof to water the field.

For many, the enthusiasm wore off when they first found out.  Beane mentioned the real grass on the Pat McAfee show two years ago (June 5, 2023) and it's been talked about since.  Don't take the snarkiness personally; many of us like to tease our brothers and sisters.  I think it's a sign of love, or camaraderie... or something like that.

 

In any case, you're right.  I suppose someday someone will invent artificial turf that's safer than real turf.  In the meantime, we'll have real grass and that's good for our players.

They’re scheduled to lay the sod in October. The NFL required that they get more than just the spring growing season in before the start of next season.

after driving most of the NYS thruway this summer and seeing the signs all over western and central ny it seems grass is legal.....so the bills are just giving the people what they want.

St. Augustine gets a fungus/disease everytime it rains more than once a week.  I used to love this grass and now I hate it!

My septic tank overflowed one day.  A few weeks later, I had tomatoes growing.
