Per Benjamin Allbright, McDermott's "seat is warm"

If anyone believes that I have a bridge to sell you. How would that guy have any information regarding McDermott’s coaching status? Did Beane or Pegula tell him? Very, very unlikely. All coaching staffs are evaluated at the end of the year. Click bait or whatever you wish to call it.

Now, I would love to see the Bills go in another direction but, unfortunately, I just don’t see that happening.

If Pegula has a real pulse of the team he will fire McD. Do it after the season or wait till they start out slow next year and do it then and wasted another year. Either way, McD has peaked.

If firing him next season during the season is even a thought, do it this off season

You can't waste another season on this guy that has no idea how to win games

It should be.  I like McD.  Defended him for a long time because he is a good coach.  He just isn't a good enough coach.  I was on the fence after 13 seconds because I do blame that on him.  All coaches blow one and make mistakes though.  Even the great Andy Reid.  Before Mahomes he was often criticized over the same things.  Last year I gave McD a pass.  This year seals it for me.  He needs to go.  This team needs a reload next year and I want the new coach to build it in his vision instead of wasting yet another year of McD.

While I agree with you, there are enough scared people who say, “it can get worse”, if they miss the playoffs my answer is, “no it can’t”.

At this point, with McD being a defensive minded coach and calling the plays, we have lost all our games by one score.

If he can’t win with his defense and the offense did their part, then he deserves to be fired.

What argument is there to keep him?

1) His regular season win %*

2) Continuity**

3) Key injuries to the DEF torpedoed the season***

* Heavily skewed by having a top 3 QB on a rookie contract from 2020-2022

** Of devastating losses in the regular season/playoffs where his defense craps the bed

***Not a bad excuse honestly. Milano, Jones, and White are huge losses

The info Albright is getting could be from players or agents

I'm sure other coaches/agents have an idea of what jobs could open

I’m not opposed to firing McD. I’m just worried more about Pegula replacing him with someone better

It's good you won't have to worry about that because I believe Beane will largely be in charge and then they'll discuss.  If that dude is in the room, I feel a whole lot better.

If we miss the playoffs, I think he's gone.

To go from being a Super Bowl favorite multiple years, to firing your DC, firing your OC, and then possibly (likely) missing the playoffs this year entirely, I do think Pegula will pull the trigger. Say what you will about the Sabres but I don't believe he is as dense as a lot of people on here do.

Totally agree.  This f'ning guy has passed the blame around to so many people, including players.  He can't get it done.  Cut him loose as soon as possible.  He's also handcuffed his coordinators.  Nah, done with this guy.  Won't be a big loss.
