MNF Eagles @ Chiefs Game Thread

I’m not advocating for it.. but I think the only thing that stops the “brotherly shove” is when a defender launched themselves just right, helmet to helmet, and knocks Hurts out.

It’s unstoppable the way they do it .. and they won’t stop unless something like that happens or the NFL stops it (and I’m torn on the NFL stopping it - teams need to figure it out).

What makes them so good at that qb sneak brotherly shove? Anyone know? Is it the perfect combo of size (hurts being a smaller qb), leverage (oline getting so low off the snap), and strength (Kelce and guards)?

I know Hurts Squats over 600 pounds. That certainly helps with power.

Their o lineman seem to get super low and get a lot of leverage as well

That push is just unstoppable.

I genuinely think teams should just not play defense when Philly gets to the 1 yard line.

Save the risk of injury.

Seems like you’d need two Ted Washingtons in the middle to shut it down.

Eagles have practiced and implemented it hundreds of times. Opponents only practice against it a few times. Can’t simulate it.
